ZUBRIAC
I don't know the national origin of zubriac or where I originally got this recipe from, but this is basically a white lasagna with a lot of spinach in it. I'd say that adding some minced garlic wouldn't hurt it, but I like it just the way it is, too.

Steps:
- Cook the noodles, drain them, and pat dry.
- Combine the cheeses, eggs, spices, and butter.
- Butter a 9 x 13 pan.
- Make some layers! Start with half the noodles, followed by half the cheese mixture, followed by all the spinach. Repeat the first two layers.
- Sprinkle with the 1/4 cup parmesan.
- At this point, your zubriac can be refrigerated until an hour before serving.
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Bake zubriac, uncovered, for about 50-60 minutes, until bubbly.
- Let stand 10 minutes before serving.

ZEBRA CAKE III
This easy-to-make icebox cake seems to be as popular today as it was 50 years ago.

Steps:
- Beat cream in a large glass or metal mixing bowl with an electric mixer. Gradually add confectioners' sugar and vanilla extract, continuing to beat until the cream holds stiff peaks. Lift your beater or whisk straight up: the whipped cream should form a sharp peak that holds its shape.
- Spread a generous teaspoon of whipped cream on each cookie. Press cookies together to make 3-inch stacks.
- Spread a 1-inch wide line of whipped cream down center of a serving platter. Assemble cookie stacks into a log on platter following the line of whipped cream.
- Frost cookie log with remaining whipped cream and sprinkle with grated chocolate.
- Cover tightly and refrigerate overnight.
- To serve, slice diagonally to create striped pieces.

- Mix cottage cheese, eggs, parsley, salt, pepper and butter together. Add a little garlic salt to spinach. Grease a 9 x 13 in. casserole pan. Place a layer of noodles, then a layer of cottage cheese, then a layer of Jack cheese and sprinkle with parmesan cheese. Then apply a layer of spinach. Repeat. - This recipe can be made ahead of time and frozen - you will just need to cook an extra hour if placed in the oven partially frozen.
