EASY BBQ CHICKEN
Juicy BBQ chicken breasts basted with a sweet, sticky homemade BBQ sauce is a delicious and easy chicken recipe perfect for dinner.

Steps:
- Combine the BBQ sauce ingredients in a small saucepan and set over medium-high heat. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes until the sugar has dissolved. Remove from the heat and allow to cool to room temperature.
- Combine the seasonings for the chicken then dust the chicken on both sides with the spice mixture, making sure the chicken is completely covered.
- Cook the chicken on a hot grill (or a griddle pan on the stove), basting with the BBQ sauce continuously until the chicken is sticky, glossy and cooked through. Approximately 5-6 minutes per side.
- Remove the chicken from the heat and allow to rest for at least 5 minutes before slicing and serving.

- Sprinkle chicken pieces with salt and pepper. Grill skin side down, uncovered, on a greased grill rack over medium heat for 20 minutes. , Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, make barbecue sauce by heating oil over medium heat. Add onion; saute until tender. Stir in remaining sauce ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 10 minutes. , Turn chicken; brush with barbecue sauce. Grill 15-25 minutes longer, brushing frequently with sauce, until a thermometer reads 165° when inserted in the breast and 170°-175° in the thigh.

- Combine first 7 ingredients in a small saucepan; bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat, and simmer, uncovered, 5 minutes.
- Set aside 1/2 cup sauce; keep warm.
- Coat grill rack with cooking spray; place on grill over medium-hot coals (350 to 400 degrees).
- Place chicken, bone side up, on rack; grill, covered, 8 minutes on each side or until done, turning once and basting with remaining barbecue sauce.
- Serve with reserved 1/2 cup barbecue sauce.
