1 teaspoon olive oil
1 vidalia onion, cut vertically into thin strips
6 teaspoons honey mustard
6 slices rye bread
6 ounces thinly sliced roast beef

Steps:

  • Heat large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Swirl in the oil, then add the onion.
  • Cook, stirring occasionally, until softened.
  • Reduce heat to low and cook until onion is golden brown, about 20 minutes.
  • Divide and spread the mustard on 3 sliced of bread.
  • Layer the beef and onions over the top.
  • Cover each with the other slice of bread.
  • 6 points per sandwich.

Hamburger Steak with Caramelized Onions WW Recipe - (4/5) image

1 pound ground sirloin
1/4 tsp salt
14 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp Italian seasoning
Cooking spray
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
1/2 cup beef broth
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar

Steps:

  • Combine first 4 ingredients in a small bowl. Shape into 4 (1/2 inch thick) patties. Heat a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Coat pan with cooking spray. Add patties, cook 3-4 minutes on each side or until browned. Transfer patties to a platter and keep warm. Add onion to pan, coat onion with cooking spray. Saute' over medium-high heat 4 minutes. Return patties to pan. Combine broth and vinegar, pour over onion and patties. Bring mixture to a boil, cover, reduce heat and simmer 5-6 minutes or until meat is done. 1 patty, 1/3 cup onion mixture 4 pts

2 slices whole wheat bread (1-ounce slices)
1 lb lean ground beef (7% or less fat)
1/3 cup minced flat leaf parsley
2 tablespoons freshly grated parmesan cheese
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon salt
4 (1 ounce) hard rolls, split

Steps:

  • Spray grill rack with nonstick spray. Prepare grill for medium fire.
  • Place the bread in a blender and pulse to a fine crumb.
  • Combine the beef, crumbs, parsley, cheese, garlic, basil, pepper, and salt in a large bowl. Shape the mixture into 4 equal patties.
  • Place the patties on the grill and grill until done (160 degrees), about 5 minutes on each side. Serve each burger in a hard roll.
  • Top with lettuce and tomato.
  • 6 Points per serving (1 burger).
