TERIYAKI CHICKEN WINGS
These wings are a hit at every party. I made 10 pounds of these wings for a recent get-together, and not one wing was left at the end of the night. Delicious!

Steps:
- Whisk together the water, soy sauce, sugar, pineapple juice, vegetable oil, garlic, and ginger in a large glass or ceramic bowl until the sugar has dissolved. Add the chicken wings, coat with the marinade, cover the bowl with plastic wrap, and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
- Preheat an oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease baking dishes, and set aside.
- Remove the chicken from the marinade, and shake off excess and place the chicken wings into the prepared baking dishes. Discard the remaining marinade. Bake the wings in the preheated oven until the chicken is cooked through and the glaze is evenly browned, about 1 hour.

Steps:
- Mix sauce and sugar together, brush on both sides of the wings, then pour over wings in pan.
- Cook in a roasting pan/cookie sheet with a"lip" so the sauce doesn't spill and make a mess of the oven 350 degrees Cook for 1 hour.
- I usually cook face down (so that the"pretty" side of the wing gets good and brown) for about 40 minutes and then flip over.
- Then when done throw all the gooey sauce into the crock pot with the wings and simmer on low heat for as long as you want.
- (At least 10 minutes) this is what makes them fall apart in your mouth, but you don't have to do it to cook them.
- they should be done after an hour in the oven.

- Place a medium skillet (which can easily fit all your wings in one place) on the stove, add the olive oil and heat it on medium heat. Place all the wings in the skillet and start cooking them.
- While the wings are slowly cooking you are to prep the teriyaki sauce for the wings. In between mixing the sauce, flip the wings to the other side to cook them evenly.
- In a small bowl add all of the teriyaki sauce ingredients: soy sauce, crushed tomato, sesame oil, rice vinegar, chopped garlic, chopped ginger (or powder), water and red chili peppers. Mix the sauce really well as you want the sugar to dissolve or honey to mix well.
- Pour the sauce over the wings. It will start bubbling and boiling almost immediately. Turn the heat down to low, close the lid fo the skillet and simmer the wings in the teriyaki sauce.

- I wiped the chicken drumsticks with a paper towel, I seasoned with sea salt and freshly ground pepper and sprinkled them with a spoonful of flour. Wash the vegetables and peel them, then chop them finely, starting with the prawns, garlic, ginger, chilli pepper and leek. Dusted the mushrooms with a brush and then sliced them, and the bamboo buds that were already cut into sticks, cut into smaller pieces.
- Heat two tablespoons of oil in a pan and fry the chicken drumsticks, until they catch a crust and turn a golden colour. Remove the drumsticks and put them aside, while in the same pan put a tablespoon of olive oil and the butter to melt. Add the chopped ingredients and fry over medium heat, stirring occasionally. After frying them for two or three minutes, add the chopped kapia pepper and fry for another three minutes. Season with sea salt, add the black soy sauce and then put back the chicken drumsticks.
- Add two cups of water and simmer for about twenty minutes, if you want you can put a lid on top to keep the flavours inside and to make it faster. Now we can add the sliced mushrooms and cook them for another ten minutes until the mushrooms soften a little. Next, come the bamboo shoots and teriyaki sauce. Simmer for another five minutes without lid and that’s it!
- We will serve this dish with tagliatelle pasta, which we previously boiled in salted water, and on top, we sprinkled with chopped spring onions.
