SAVORY PITA CHIPS
Tasty all by themselves, and even better dipped into homemade hummus. Can adjust seasonings to taste. Posted for ZWT #6

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 400°F.
- Mix the garlic granules, onion powder, oregano, paprika, salt, and pepper in a small container.
- One at a time, brush the pita breads with olive oil, cut into 8 wedges (same pattern as cutting a pie or a pizza). Kitchen shears makes this step easy.
- Arrange the pita wedges in a single layer on a baking sheet, and sprinkle with the seasoning mix.
- Bake in a 400F oven for 7 to10 minutes.

CHICKPEA DIP - GARBANZO BEAN DIP
Yet another one of those good for you, and hide the veggies things. I love chickpeas, but my kids think they look weird. This is very plain for picky palates.

- Put all ingredients into a food processor, and blend until smooth.
- Serve at room temperature with pita chips, crackers, carrots, or other dipping vegetables.
SPICY WHOLE WHEAT PITA CHIPS
Great with dips, spreads, hummus or soups. Keep extra pita chips stored in an airtight container for up to three days.

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Combine cumin, paprika, salt, and ground red pepper.
- Cut each pita half into 4 wedges. Arrange pita wedges on a baking sheet. Lightly coat pita with cooking spray. Sprinkle cumin mixture evenly over pita.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes, or until crisp.

CURRIED WHITE BEAN DIP

- In a food processor, combine the beans, parsley, olive oil, lemon juice, curry powder, cumin, salt, cayenne pepper, garlic and lemon zest. Blend until smooth. Season with salt. Pour the dip into a serving bowl and serve with Whole Wheat Pita Chips alongside.
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Cut each pita bread into 8 wedges. Arrange on a baking sheet and drizzle with the olive oil. Sprinkle with the salt and pepper and bake until crisp and golden, 12 to 15 minutes.
