HOT CHOCOLATE IN A JAR

Steps:

• Layer the cocoa, sugar, cornstarch in an 8oz/half pint Mason Jar.
• Top with dark chocolate.
• Place a lid on the jar, and tie together with a string and instruction card.

DECADENT WHITE HOT CHOCOLATE MIX

Steps:

• In a 32-ounce mason jar or storage jar, layer the white hot chocolate mix ingredients in the following order: sugar, pudding mix, milk powder, and grated white chocolate.
• To prepare the hot chocolate mix for drinking, combine 2 cups of mix with 2 cups of water in a large saucepan. Stir over medium heat until the chocolate pieces are melted and the mixture is heated through. Makes 4 servings.

HOLIDAY HOT CHOCOLATE

Steps:

• In a saucepan on medium heat, heat the milk and half-and-half to just below the simmering point. Remove the pan from the heat and add the white chocolate. When the chocolate is melted, add the vanilla, vanilla bean seeds, and 1/4 to 1/3 cup orange liqueur, according to taste, and whisk vigorously. Reheat very gently and serve.

HOT COCOA MIX IN A JAR

Steps:

• In a large bowl, combine powdered milk, chocolate pudding mix, chocolate drink mix powder, creamer, confectioners' sugar, and cocoa. Divide the mixture between two 1 quart jars. Seal, and decorate as desired. These can be stored in a dry area for up to 3 months.
• Attach a tag with the following instructions: Hot Cocoa: Dissolve 1/3 cup cocoa mix in 1 cup boiling water.

HOMEMADE WHITE HOT CHOCOLATE MIX

Steps:

• Mix milk powder and creamer together in a large bowl.
• Mix sugar and butter flavoring together in a small bowl until fully incorporated. Mix into milk powder mixture vigorously using hands to decrease lumps.
• Shred white chocolate using a small microplane or small shred side of a box grater; add to mixture. Stir lightly using a spoon to incorporate without melting chocolate.

• To serve: Remove the marshmallows to a plate and mix together the remaining ingredients in the jar. Bring 1 cup of milk to a simmer over low heat. Add 3 tablespoons of hot cocoa mix and stir until completely combined. Pour into cups or mugs and top with marshmallows before serving.

CHOCOLATE COOKIE MIX IN A JAR

Steps:

• Combine all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
• In a 1 quart wide mouth canning jar, layer dark brown sugar, white sugar, cocoa, chopped pecans, and chocolate chips. Pack everything down firmly before you add flour mixture, it will be a snug fit.
• Attach a tag with the following instructions: Chocolate Cookie Mix in a Jar: 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) 2. Empty cookie mix into large bowl. Thoroughly blend mixture with hands. Mix in 3/4 cup softened butter or margarine, 1 egg, slightly beaten, and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Shape into walnut size balls, and place 2 inches apart on a parchment lined baking sheet. 3. Bake for 11 to 13 minutes. Cool 5 minutes on baking sheet, then move to wire racks.
