Steps:
- Preheat oven 350 F Fillet salmon, leaving skin on.
- Place fillets, skin side down on a buttered pan.
- Drizzle soya sauce over fillets.
- Sprinkle granulated garlic and brown sugar over salmon Bake 1 hour at 350 F Garnish with parsley and sliced lemon.
- **This can also be Barbequed over medium heat and cooked until white juices appear on the top of the flesh**** I have also baked this using a whole cleaned salmon, for a nice pesentation.

WEST COAST DRY RUB WITH SALMON
This rub would work wonders for salmon or steelhead trout, done on a grilling plank. It would also enhance chicken and vegetables

- Cedar Plank: the longer you soak the plank the more uses you have out of it. They can be used a number of times as long as they are not too charred and the fish fits on the plank.
- Rub: Combine the ingredients and sprinkle over the fish. Grill for 15 - 20 minutes or until the fish flakes.

WEST COAST CEDAR PLANK SALMON - CANADIAN COOKING ADVENTURES

- Start by immersing the cedar planks in water for a minimum of 30 minutes. This prevents them from burning on the grill.
- Then in a ziplock bag or airtight container add the soya sauce, worcestershire sauce, olive oil, minced garlic, garlic powder and salmon. Make sure the salmon is coated completely for a minimum of 30 minutes prior to BBQing.
- Once the salmon has marinade, remove and discard all the marinade. On a cutting board, season the salmon very lightly with a bit of salt and the pepper. Then generously coat the salmon on both sides with brown sugar using your hands to pat it down to form a light crust.
- Turn the BBQ on to medium heat, then turn down to low- medium heat before adding the planked salmon on top. Shut the lid and allow it to cook anywhere from 15-20 minutes.
