Portable & perfect as a snack, appetizer or party dish, Walking Tacos are totally delicious! Just pile taco toppings on top of your favorite bag of chips!

16 Small bags of Fritos or Doritos
1 pound ground beef
2 tablespoons taco seasoning or 1 packet (1 ounce)
1 1/2 cups thick and chunky salsa
Cheese
Sour cream
Lettuce
Tomatoes
Black beans
Jalapeno (, sliced)
Green onions
Black olives (, sliced)
Avocado
Salsa
Pico de Gallo

Steps:

  • Add ground beef to a large skillet, using vegetable oil, if needed. If using lean beef (turkey or chicken) oil will be necessary. Cook until no pink remains.
  • Drain and return to the skillet.
  • Add beef back into pan and mix with taco seasoning and salsa, stir well until fully coated.
  • Serve immediately with bags of Fritos or Doritos and toppings of your choice.

5 1-ounce bags Nacho Doritos
5 1-ounce bags Cool Ranch Doritos
5 1-ounce bags Kettle Chips
5 1-ounce bags Corn Chips
2 pounds ground beef, chicken, or turkey, cooked with taco seasoning, and drained
1 cup chili
1 cup cheese sauce
2 large tomatoes, diced small
2 cups lettuce, shredded
2 cups shredded cheese
1 cup sour cream
2 cups salsa
1 cup guacamole
1 cup pico de gallo
3 jalapeños, sliced
1 cup chopped onions
Southwest or Taco Seasoning

Steps:

  • If you haven't already done so, cook your meat of choice with taco or southwest seasoning per package directions.
  • Keep warm in a crock pot or in the oven, along with cheese sauce, and prepared chili.
  • Prepare, chop, and slice all the toppings and put in serving bowls or containers.
  • To prepare a walking taco, start by picking your chips.
  • Open the bag and gently crush or smash the chips into small pieces.
  • Add your favorite toppings to the bag of crushed chips.
  • Stir and enjoy!

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 pound ground beef
1 envelope reduced-sodium chili seasoning mix
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 can (10 ounces) diced tomatoes and green chiles
1 can (15 ounces) Ranch Style beans (pinto beans in seasoned tomato sauce)
5 packages (1 ounce each) corn chips
Toppings: Shredded cheddar cheese, sour cream and sliced green onions

Steps:

  • In a large skillet, cook beef over medium heat until no longer pink, breaking into crumbles, 6-8 minutes; drain. Stir in chili seasoning mix, pepper, tomatoes and beans; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, until thickened, 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally., Just before serving, cut open corn chip bags. Add beef mixture and toppings.

2 lbs Ground Beef
1 tablespoon Olive Oil
3 cloves Garlic (- minced)
1 tablespoon Taco Seasoning (- use your favorite)
8 bags of Frito's or Doritos (- pick your favorite)
2 cups Lettuce (- shredded lettuce)
1 cup Cilantro (- chopped)
7-10 Jalapenos (- thinly sliced)
2 cups Red Onion (- diced)
2 cups Tomatoes (- diced)
1 jar Prepared Salsa
1 container Prepared Guacamole
1 cup Sour Cream
2 cups Sharp Cheddar Cheese (- shredded or grated depending on preference)
1 can Black Beans (- drained and rinsed)
2 Fresh Limes (- sliced in quarters)

Steps:

  • Place a large skillet over a medium heat. Add olive oil and minced garlic to the skillet. Once garlic is fragrant, add ground beef, stirring occasionally until cooked. Once beef is cooked, drain off fat and transfer to serving bowl. Set aside.
  • Chop all your vegetables. Place each different topping in a different serving bowl. Set out each topping, including ground beef, on serving table.
  • Crumple closed bag of chips in your hands. Open bag and begin to layer toppings of your choosing into bag of chips. Once you've assembled your walking taco, grab a fork and enjoy!

1 pkg. (1 oz.) TACO BELL® Taco Seasoning Mix
1 VELVEETA Fresh Packs (4 oz.), cut into 1/2-inch cubes
1 cup shredded lettuce
1 tomato, chopped
1/2 cup sour cream
8 small bags corn chips (1 oz. each)

Steps:

  • Cook meat with taco seasoning mix as directed on package, adding VELVEETA for the last 2 min. of the cooking time and stirring frequently until VELVEETA is completely melted and mixture is well blended. Spoon into serving bowl; place on tray.
  • Spoon lettuce, tomatoes and sour cream into separate bowls; place on tray next to taco meat. Add opened bags of chips.
  • Spoon taco meat over chips (in bags) just before serving; top with lettuce, tomatoes and sour cream.
