2 lb. lean ground beef
1 onion (chopped)
2 packages (1 oz. each) Taco Seasoning Mix
1 1/2 cups water
2 cups corn chips
1 package 8oz. shredded Colby u0026amp; Monterey Jack Cheese
2 1/2 cups shredded lettuce
3/4 cup chopped tomatoes

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • In a large skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until no longer pink. Drain the liquid.
  • Stir in taco seasoning mix and water. Cook according to directions on package.
  • Transfer the mixture into a greased 11x7-inch baking dish. Top the mixture with Frito chips and cheese. Cover.
  • Bake for 30 minutes or until the meat is fully heated, and the cheese melted. Uncover the baking dish during the last 10 minutes of cooking. Top casserole with tomatoes and lettuce.
  • Serve and enjoy!

1 pound ground beef
2 tablespoons taco seasoning or 1 packet (1 ounce)
1 1/2 cups thick and chunky salsa
Cheese
Sour cream
Lettuce
Tomatoes
Black beans
Jalapeno (, sliced)
Green onions
Black olives (, sliced)
Avocado
Salsa
Pico de Gallo

Steps:

  • Add ground beef to a large skillet, using vegetable oil, if needed. If using lean beef (turkey or chicken) oil will be necessary. Cook until no pink remains.
  • Drain and return to the skillet.
  • Add beef back into pan and mix with taco seasoning and salsa, stir well until fully coated.
  • Serve immediately with bags of Fritos or Doritos and toppings of your choice.

1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 can (10 ounces) diced tomatoes and green chiles

1 - 28 ounce can diced tomatoes
1 - 15 to 16 ounce can refried beans
3 cloves garlic ((pressed or finely minced))
1 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1 1/2 teaspoon cumin
1 teaspoon salt
sour cream
shredded cheese
black olives (optional)
jalapenos (optional)
salsa (optional)
finely chopped lettuce
chopped tomatoes

Steps:

  • Brown ground beef, onion and garlic in a skillet. Add in seasonings and cook for a couple minutes until fragrant. Stir in tomatoes and refried beans. Cook slowly until heated through and bubbly. 2 pounds ground beef, chicken, or turkey, cooked with taco seasoning, and drained
1 cup chili
1 cup cheese sauce
2 large tomatoes, diced small
2 cups lettuce, shredded
2 cups shredded cheese
1 cup sour cream
2 cups salsa
1 cup guacamole
1 cup pico de gallo
3 jalapeños, sliced
1 cup chopped onions
Southwest or Taco Seasoning

Steps:

  • If you haven't already done so, cook your meat of choice with taco or southwest seasoning per package directions.
  • Keep warm in a crock pot or in the oven, along with cheese sauce, and prepared chili.

  • To prepare a walking taco, start by picking your chips.

1 pound ground beef
1 (1-ounce) envelope taco seasoning mix
1 (10-ounce) can diced tomatoes and green chilies
1 (15-ounce) can pinto beans, rinsed and drained
6 (1-ounce) bags corn chips
Optional topping: Shredded cheddar cheese
Optional topping: Sour cream
Optional topping: Fresh cilantro

Steps:

  • Gather the ingredients.
  • In a large skillet, brown the beef over medium heat until no longer pink. Drain off the excess fat.
  • Stir in the taco seasoning mix, the can of diced tomatoes with green chilies, and the pinto beans. Bring to a boil. Reduce and simmer uncovered until thickened, about 10 minutes.
  • When ready to serve, open the bags of corn chips and set up the walking taco bar. Transfer the taco meat and beans mixture to a bowl with a spoon. Include options for favorite taco toppings.

The meat can be made up in advance, so when it's time to eat, just heat up the meat and you are ready to go. Easy enough to eat in the car on the way to soccer practice on a busy night!

1 (1 ounce) package taco seasoning mix
6 (1.75 ounce) packages nacho cheese-flavored corn chips (such as Doritos®)
1 (8 ounce) package taco cheese blend
2 tomatoes, diced
1 cup shredded lettuce
1 (8 ounce) container sour cream

Steps:

  • Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook and stir beef in the hot skillet until browned and crumbly, 5 to 10 minutes. Drain and discard grease. Mix taco seasoning into the beef.
  • Crush chips without opening the bags. Open bags and spoon in seasoned beef. Cover with cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, and sour cream. Stir to blend. Eat with forks right out of the bags.

  • Heat oil in a large dutch oven over medium heat. Saute onion and peppers for 5 minutes or until softened. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute. Add ground beef, salt and pepper. Cook until browned. Drain if needed. I usually don't need to for the lean beef. Pour in tomatoes, salsa, tomato paste then stir to combine. Add 1 Cup warm water to thin out slightly then add in beans, olives, chili powder, cumin, hot sauce, lime juice, salt, pepper and garlic salt. I start with just a pinch of salt then keep tasting until it's to my liking. Add chopped cilantro and reduce heat to low to simmer until ready to serve.
  • Open bags of fritos. Spoon in chili, cheese, sour cream and jalapenos. Stick a fork in it and eat!!
