This is a drink I had in New Orleans in a place called LaBayou. I just phoned them and they were kind enough to give me the recipe. Party Hearty!!

3/4 oz curacao
3/4 oz malibu banana rum
3/4 oz malibu melon rum
1 1/4 oz malibu coconut rum
orange slice and maraschino cherry

Steps:

  • 1. Combine all ingredients and pour over ice. Garnish with the orange slice and cherry. Cheers!

1 oz. Banana Rum
1 oz. Coconut Rum
1.5 oz. Orange Juice
1.5 oz. Cranberry Juice
1.5 oz. Pineapple Juice
.5 oz. Dark Rum ((floater))
Cherry or Orange Slice ((garnish))

Steps:

  • Pour all ingredients in a tall glass over ice. Stir slightly. (We added just a splash of cherry juice for color.)
  • Garnish with a cherry or orange slice. Float the .5 oz. dark rum on the top just before serving.

  • Pour over ice in a hurricane glass.
  • Float dark rum on top and serve.

Voodoo Juice is a cocktail from Iggies Beach Bar at Bolongo Bay Beach Resort, St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands. The recipe uses the local Cruzan rum in several flavors: pineapple, banana, coconut, citrus, and dark. But don't worry, the cocktail isn't all rum! Cranberry and pineapple juice finish off the drink.

1 ounce cruzan pineapple rum
1 ounce cruzan banana rum
1 ounce cruzan coconut rum
1 ounce cruzan citrus rum
1/2 ounce cruzan dark rum
3 ounce cranberry juice
3 ounce pineapple juice

Steps:

  • Fill a really large glass with ice and pour in the Pineapple, Banana, Coconut, and Citrus Cruzan rums. Then add the cranberry and pinapple juice and top with Cruzan dark rum. Raise glass and toast.
