Very easy and delicious appetizer, like a bite-size bloody mary!

1 pint ripe cherry tomatoes
½ cup pepper-flavored vodka
3 tablespoons sea salt
1 tablespoon lemon pepper

Steps:

  • Poke 5 or 6 holes with a wooden pick or skewer in each tomato and put in a shallow bowl. Pour vodka over tomatoes. Cover bowl with plastic wrap and marinate until the flavors blend, 1 to 2 hours.
  • Mix sea salt and lemon pepper in a small bowl; serve with the marinated tomatoes for dipping.

For the Tomato Vodka:
1 pound ripe tomatoes
1 sprig basil (fresh)
1 sprig oregano (fresh)
1 (750 mL) bottle vodka
For the Basil Syrup:
1 cup water
1 cup sugar
1 sprig fresh basil
For the Cocktail:
2 wedges lime , divided
2 cherry tomatoes, divided
1/2 ounce basil syrup
2 ounces tomato vodka
1 1/2 ounces soda

Steps:

  • Gather the ingredients.
  • Cut the tomatoes into pieces that will easily fit into your infusion jar.
  • Add the tomatoes and full sprigs of herbs to the jar, then fill with vodka. Shake well.
  • Store in a cool, dark place for five to seven days, shaking daily.
  • After five days, test the infusion for flavor and allow it to infuse longer if needed.
  • Once the infusion is to your liking , double strain the vodka to remove all of the tomatoes and herbs. Bottle in the original vodka bottle or a similar glass jar with a tight lid.
  • In a small saucepan, bring the water to a boil. Add the sugar, stirring constantly until dissolved.
  • Add the leaves from a sprig of basil (about 5 or 6 leaves). Cover, reduce the heat, and simmer for about 15 minutes.
  • Remove from the heat, keep covered, and let the syrup steep until it cools.
  • Strain out the basil leaves and bottle the syrup in a jar. Store in the refrigerator for no more than two weeks.
  • In a cocktail shaker, place 2 lime wedges, cherry tomato, and basil syrup. Muddle well.
  • Add vodka and fill the shaker with ice.
  • Shake well .
  • Strain into a highball glass with fresh ice, then top it off with soda.
  • Garnish with a lime wedge and cherry tomato. Serve and enjoy.

30 -40 small cherry tomatoes
1 tablespoon garlic
1 teaspoon sea salt
1 teaspoon pepper
750 ml grey goose vodka (or equivalent quality Vodka)
Tabasco sauce (optional)
parsley (garnish)
lemon pepper seasoning (served in high ball)
toothpick (placed in shot glass)

Steps:

  • Cut a shallow cross shape in the top of each tomato, put them in a large bowl and add the garlic (as much or as little as you like), a little salt, Tabasco (optional) and above all vodka.
  • Allow the tomatoes to soak up the vodka, stirring occasionally; Let them soak overnight and after 24 hours they can be put in the refrigerator.
  • Once you are at the party pour into the large oversized martini glass and serve with a shot glass of Lemon Pepper for dipping and a shot glass with toothpicks.
