BERRY YOGURT CRUNCH
Yogurt, fresh berries, and a surprise ingredient give this dish a somewhat cheesecake-like flavor but with a fraction of the fat and calories. Let the berry-yogurt mixture chill awhile so flavors mingle and mellow. Make a flavor change by substituting instant white chocolate pudding mix. I've served this for dessert, but it's good as a breakfast treat, too!

CHERRY-BERRY PIE WITH WHOLE WHEAT PIE CRUST
I made this pie as a way to use up some of the beautiful late summer fruit that Michigan has to offer. Paired with pure Michigan maple syrup, this pie has no refined sugar, and is complemented with additional flavor from a whole wheat crust. A mix of any wild berries and/or cherries should work for this, but make sure to adjust the maple syrup amount depending on the sweetness of your fruit.

Steps:
- Place flour, 2 tablespoons maple syrup, and salt into the bowl of a food processor. Pulse several times to combine. Add butter and pulse a few more times until mixture has the texture of coarse sand.
- Mix cold water and vinegar together in a small measuring cup. Add 1/2 the mixture to the food processor; pulse a few times. Add additional mixture until dough comes together slightly. Divide dough in 1/2. Wrap each 1/2 in plastic wrap and form into discs. Refrigerate at least 1 hour.
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Line a large baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a 9-inch pie pan on top. Set aside.
- Mix sour cherries, blackberries, blueberries, and ground cherries together in a bowl. Whisk 1 cup maple syrup, cornstarch, lemon juice, vanilla extract, cinnamon, almond extract, nutmeg, and salt together in a small bowl until smooth. Pour over berries and toss to combine; set pie filling aside.
- Remove 1 disc of pie dough from the refrigerator. Roll out into a 12-inch circle on a lightly floured surface. Place evenly into the bottom and over the sides of the pie pan. Roll out second piece of dough into another 12-inch circle; cut into 1-inch strips. Pour pie filling into the crust and use dough strips to form a lattice pattern on top. Remove any excess overhanging dough and crimp the edges to seal.
- Whisk egg and water together in a small bowl until combined. Lightly brush egg wash over pie crust. Cover edges of pie crust with aluminum foil to prevent overbrowning.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 35 minutes. Remove foil and continue baking until crust is golden and filling is bubbling, 30 to 40 minutes more. Remove from the oven and let cool completely before serving.

BLUEBERRY YOGURT PIE
Posted for Zaar World Tour. This pie is a bit tangy...especially if your blueberries are not too sweet! You may want to consider adding a little more sugar to the filling if you like a sweeter pie.

BLACKBERRY FROZEN YOGURT PIE WITH CRACKER CRUST
Tangy from yogurt and rippled with blackberries, this frozen pie will make a pretty addition to barbecues and backyard cookouts. The salty cracker crust against the sweet tart filling is a match made in summer heaven. Raspberries work in place of the blackberries, too. Want to know what to do with leftover sweetened condensed milk? Stir into iced coffee or Thai iced tea, or drizzle over sliced fresh fruit.

Steps:
- Make the crust: Heat oven to 350 degrees with a rack in the middle position. Combine crackers, sugar and salt in a food processor and process until finely ground. (You should have about 1 1/2 cups.) If you don't have a food processor, place in a resealable plastic bag and bang with a rolling pin or meat mallet until crushed. Add butter and pulse until the mixture looks like wet sand.
- Transfer cracker mixture to a standard 9-inch pie plate. Using the bottom of a flat-bottomed measuring cup, press the mixture up the sides and into the bottom of the pie plate. Bake on the middle rack until dry and golden brown, 20 to 25 minutes. (If the crust slumps or puffs while it bakes, gently press it back into place while still warm with the measuring cup and proceed.) Let cool completely.
- Make the filling: Combine blackberries, sugar and lemon juice in a food processor and process until evenly crushed. Using an electric mixer, beat the cream and condensed milk until stiff peaks form. Give yogurt a few stirs to smooth it out, then gently fold into whipped cream mixture; transfer to the cooled crust. Spoon blackberry mixture over top and, using a spoon, carefully swirl into the cream. Freeze until firm, at least 4 hours and up to 2 days. Let sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes before serving; this will make it easier to slice.
VERY BERRY PIE
Becky Thompson of Maryville, Tennessee came up with this quick pie with she needed a low-fat dessert for a get together. "My husband picked this pie over apple pie, which he generally prefers," she recalls. "He raves about how good it is."
