Steps:
- Heat oven to 375°F. Remove dough from cans in rolled sections; do not unroll. Cut each section into 8 slices (16 slices from each can).
- Place slices, cut side down, on ungreased cookie sheets to form trees. To form each tree, start by placing 1 slice for top; arrange 2 slices just below, with sides touching. Continue arranging row of 3 slices, then row of 4 slices, ending with row of 5 slices. Use remaining slice for trunk. Refrigerate one tree while the other bakes.
- Bake one tree 11 to 13 minutes or until golden brown. Cool 1 minute; carefully loosen with pancake turner and slide onto cooling rack to cool. Bake and cool second tree.
- Place each tree on serving platter. In small bowl, mix cream cheese, sour cream, dill and garlic powder; blend until smooth. Spread mixture over both trees. Decorate trees with assorted vegetable pieces. Refrigerate until serving time. To serve, pull apart slices of tree.

VEGGIE CHRISTMAS TREE APPETIZER TRAY
Another take on the broccoli Christmas tree. This doesn't require a conical base but does require a tree-shaped pan. I used the Wilton Christmas Tree cake pan.

Steps:
- Fill a Christmas tree shaped tray or pan with broccoli florets. The broccoli should be cut to the depth of the pan. Once the pan is full, prop the broccoli up to make it appear that the "tree" is lush and green.
- Insert baby carrots into the broccoli so that just the tips show. These are the ornaments on the tree.
- Insert cherry tomatoes for more "ornaments".
- Place a small bowl (star-shaped?) at the top of the pan filled with Ranch dressing.

VEGETABLE CHRISTMAS TREE
I saw this at a party one year and I thought it was so cute I had to try it. It makes a great centerpiece for an appitizer table or even for individual tables. These internet pictures show you some examples of how far you can go with making the tree.

Steps:
- 1. First prepare your veggies or fruit. If you are using apples, cut them in cubes, and if you won't be eating your tree for a while just brush some lemon juice on your apples to prevent browning.
- 2. Wrap the cone in clear plastic food wrap, securing it with floral pins/scotch tape in one or two places.
- 3. Using the toothpicks, attach the veggies, and cheese cubes to the cone. Push the toothpicks into the cone (you may need to cut the toothpicks down to fit in the top of your cone). Angle the toothpicks upwards to help keep the fruit and veggies from falling off. Cover the whole cone!
- 4. A star made of cheese can be attached to the top of the tree with a toothpick. It can be hand carved or cut with a small star-shaped cookie cutter.
- 5. place the tree in the center of a serving platter and surrround with other cut veggies. Serve with a bowl of your favorite dip(s).
