This is an easy espresso drink to make with your home espresso machine--steamed milk and a shot of espresso with vanilla flavoring.

1 ¼ cups 2% milk
2 tablespoons vanilla flavored syrup
1 (1.5 fluid ounce) jigger brewed espresso

Steps:

  • Pour milk into a steaming pitcher and heat to 145 degrees F to 165 degrees F (65 to 70 degrees C) using the steaming wand. Measure the vanilla syrup into a large coffee mug. Brew espresso, then add to mug. Pour the steamed milk into the mug, using a spoon to hold back the foam. Spoon foam over the top.

2 cups freshly-brewed maxwell house rich dark roast coffee

Steps:

  • Heat milk in small saucepan on low heat until warm, stirring briskly and constantly with wire whisk to create foam.
  • Remove from heat; stir in vanilla.
  • Stir coffee into milk mixture.
  • Serve immediately (they recommend with Nilla wafers).
  • Other flavour option: 1/4 teaspoons almond extract instead of vanilla.

  • Brew coffee or espresso, add all natural zero calorie sweetener and vanilla extract to the coffee when it's still hot. Mix well to dissolve.
  • Fill a tall glass with ice.
  • Add the brewed coffee to the glass of ice, top with almond milk and serve.

In a medium bowl beat vegetable oil spread and vanilla with an electric mixer on medium speed for 30 seconds. Beat in dissolved espresso powder. Gradually beat in powdered sugar until very smooth. If needed, add enough milk, 1/2 teaspoon at a time, to reach spreading consistency. Frost cupcakes.
