For festive fudge with a new "twist," give this confection a whirl! We used vanilla chips instead of chocolate ones and added sweet cherry flavoring. -Taste of Home Test Kitchen

1-1/2 teaspoons butter
1 package (10 to 12 ounces) white baking chips
1 can (16 ounces) or 2 cups vanilla frosting
1 teaspoon cherry or almond extract
4 drops red liquid food coloring

Steps:

  • Line an 8-in. square pan with foil; butter the foil. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt chips; stir until smooth. Beat in frosting and extract until smooth. Pour into prepared pan., Randomly place drops of food coloring over fudge; cut through fudge with a knife to swirl. Cover and refrigerate for 4 hours or until firm before cutting into squares.

3 ¾ cups confectioners' sugar
6 tablespoons butter
3 tablespoons milk
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 pinch salt

Steps:

  • Grease a 9x5 inch pan. Set aside.
  • In a 3 quart saucepan, over very low heat, mix together confectioners sugar, butter, milk, vanilla, and salt until mixture is creamy.
  • Pour quickly into greased 9x5 inch pan. Refrigerate until firm, then cut into squares. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

3 cups sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup light cream
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup light corn syrup
2 tablespoons butter
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 cup candied cherries or 1 cup maraschino cherry, well drained, quartered

Steps:

  • Combine sugar, salt, cream, mil, corn syrup and butter in a large heavy saucepan.
  • Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture comes to boiling.
  • Continue cooking, stirring occasionally, until candy thermometer reaches 238F (soft-ball stage).
  • Remove from heat, leaving thermometer in the saucepan. Cool to 100°F.
  • Add vanilla. Beat briskly until fudge thickens and begins to lose its gloss.
  • Stir in cherries.
  • Pour into buttered 8" square pan.
  • Cool. Cut into squares when firm.

2 2/3 cup white chocolate chips (16 ounces SEE NOTES!! )
1 can sweetened condensed milk (14 ounces)
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
pinch salt

Steps:

  • Prepare an 8-inch or 9-inch square baking pan by lining it with greased parchment paper or non-stick foil.
  • In a large, microwave-safe bowl place the white chocolate chips and a the can of sweetened condensed milk. Microwave for 90 seconds at 70 percent power. Use the residual heat to stir the mixture well until the chocolate is fully melted and smooth. If necessary, microwave for additional 15 second intervals.
  • Instead of melting in the microwave, you can also melt the chocolate and milk in the top of a double boiler or in a bowl on top of a saucepan of simmering water.
  • Stir in a vanilla extract and a pinch of salt. Gently fold in any mix-ins, such as coarsely chopped nuts or dried fruits, if you are using them.
  • Pour and spread evenly in the prepared pan. Chill in the refrigerator several hours, until very well set. Cut into squares.

16 ounce bag white chocolate chips
1/2 cup marshmallow cream
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups sugar
1 cup evaporated milk
1/2 cup butter

Steps:

  • Line a 8x8 inch pan with parchment paper or aluminum foil and set aside. In a medium sized mixing bowl add the white chocolate chips, marshmallow cream, and vanilla.
  • In a medium sized saucepan add the sugar, evaporated milk and butter. Bring to a boil on medium high heat and let it boil for 10 minutes. I kept stirring mine occasionally with a wire whisk.
  • Remove from heat and pour the hot mixture over the white chocolate chips, marshmallow cream and vanilla. Stir with a spoon to incorporate. Then with an electric mixer, mix till almost set.
  • Pour into your prepared 8x8 inch pan. Place into the fridge for a couple of hours to set. Cut into 2 inch squares.

1 cup chopped candied cherries

Steps:

  • Gather the ingredients.
  • Prepare an 8 x 8-inch cake pan by lining it with aluminum foil and spraying the foil with cooking spray .
  • Combine the chocolate and condensed milk in a heavy saucepan over medium heat. Stir until smooth and combined, and remove from heat.
  • Add the cherries, vanilla, and salt, and stir until well combined. Pour into the prepared pan and smooth the top with a spatula .

Steps:

  • In 2-quart glass measuring cup, combine sugar, sour cream, corn syrup, butter and salt. Microwave at high for 5 minutes.
  • Stir until sugar dissolves.
  • Microwave at High 6 minutes or just until mixture reaches 236 degrees.
  • (Soft ball). Let stand 15 minutes without stirring.
  • Add vanilla, beat until it loses its gloss (about 6 minutes). Stir in cherries and walnuts.
  • Quickly pour in buttered 8-1/2 by 4-1/2" loaf pan.
  • Cool.
  • Cut into squares.
