2-INGREDIENT BISCUIT RECIPE
Steps:
- Preheat your oven to 400 degrees. Combine 2 cups of flour and 2 cups of heavy whipping cream. Stir until mixed. Scoop out onto the floured countertop and knead 10-12 times. Sprinkle with flour so the dough is not sticky, as needed. Then roll out the biscuit dough 1/2 inch thick with a floured rolling pin. Cut out the biscuits and place them on a greased cookie sheet. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until light golden brown. Serve with butter, jam, or honey. Enjoy. They will melt in your melt, I promise.
- If you only have Bread FLOUR: You can use bread flour but you will have to add 1-1/2 teaspoons of baking powder and 1/4 teaspoon of salt to EACH CUP of flour. This recipe calls for 2 cups of flour so you would add 3 teaspoons of baking powder and 1/2 teaspoon of salt to the recipe.

TENDER HOMEMADE SOUR CREAM BISCUITS (NO-FAIL RECIPE)
I've tried biscuit recipes for most of my life. Some work, some don't. Some are ok, but this one is GOOD. And it's an easy NO-FAIL recipe. I haven't even tried another one in years. I've been making these for a very long time now, and cannot remember where it came from. :/ But if you love homemade biscuits and have never had very...

Steps:
- 1. In medium-sized bowl, whisk first 4 ingredients til well mixed.
- 2. Add sour cream in spoonfuls on top, add oil and mix til all is just moistened with a spoon. Switch to using your hands turning the dough to get all the last of the dry stuff on the bottom of the bowl. Knead 8 times on floured surface.
- 3. Roll thick to only about an 8" circle. Just a few passes with your (floured) rolling pin. Cut out 6 biscuits with a biscuit cutter or a floured glass. Get 2 more out of the last of the dough. (Bunch it back together, knead it just a bit, pat or roll it and cut.) Pitch any last little tidbit if any left. I place mine on my old round metal pizza pan covered with foil and sprayed with butter-flavored Pam. But a cookie sheet will work just fine.
- 4. Place little pats of butter on top, or spread it a little if the butter is VERY soft and doesn't deflate the biscuits while doing so. Bake in hot, preheated 425 oven for 12-15 minutes (ovens vary) or til golden brown on top. Remove from oven and butter tops again with other half of butter. Serve warm with more butter and homemade jam or honey. Makes 8 tall sour cream biscuits.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 500F degrees (yes, that is the correct temperature)
- Spray a baking sheet with a little nonstick spray.
- Measure out flour into a large bowl.
- Gradually stir in cream, adding enough to moisten flour to a sticky dough.
- Mix gently then turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface (use the self-rising flour). If it is too sticky to handle, add just a sprinkling of self-rising flour to the top.
- Fold the dough ta couple of times to form a ball.
- Pat or roll dough gently to a 1/2-inch thickness.
- Take a biscuit cutter and dip it in a bit of the self-rising flour (this will keep it from sticking to the dough as it cuts).
- Then begin to cut out biscuits as close together as possible. Do not twist your biscuit cutter when cutting them out.
- Place biscuits on prepared cookie sheet.
- Brush the tops of the biscuits with a bit of melted butter.
- Then place biscuits (one sheet at a time, in the middle rack) in preheated oven and bake for about 8-10 minutes or until tops are golden brown.

TWO INGREDIENT SOUR CREAM BISCUITS*
I am very very picky about my biscuits, I want them tasty, light, totally done, but not dry. I really hate the half cooked ones or the ones that are so dry and hard, you just about choke to death i.e. the kinds that you get at most restaurants. I came across a recipe for sour cream biscuits that sounded good and after searching, reviewing, and trying a bunch of different ones ( I always read the reviews before I try). I think I have come up with a really easy recipe that tastes super, I can not believe how great these came out. * does not include flour for rolling out or oil for greasing pan

- Place flour in a mixing bowl and add in sour cream. Stir with a spatula / wooden spoon first then finish by hand until the mixture comes together to form a dough. Don't over-mix.
- Scrape dough onto a lightly floured counter and dust the top lightly with flour. Roll or simply pat into a disc of approximately 1-inch thickness. Cut into 4 or 6 pieces using a bench scraper (or a knife). Slide the bench scraper underneath each piece to transfer the biscuits onto the baking sheet. Space the biscuits at least 1.5 inches apart as they will rise during baking. Do work quickly otherwise the dough will start to get sticky.
- Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until the top is golden-brown. Let cool on a wire rack. Serve warm or at room temperature.
