Classic Tuna Salad image

This easy tuna salad recipe is perfect in tuna salad sandwiches or next to some coleslaw!

12 ounces white flaked tuna ( in water, drained)
¾ cup mayonnaise
2 dill pickles (finely chopped)
1 stalk celery (finely diced)
1 green onion (sliced)
1 teaspoon dijon
1 teaspoon lemon juice
salt & pepper (to taste)

Steps:

  • Drain the tuna well.
  • Combine all ingredients in a small bowl and mix well.
  • Use to top a salad, in sandwiches or to add to pasta salads.

1/4 cup KRAFT Tuscan House Italian Dressing

Steps:

  • Combine ingredients.
  • Refrigerate several hours.

This pasta salad is perfect for entertaining, picnics, potlucks, or just every day at home. The flavors are fresh, delicious, and perfect for a flavorful lunch, or dinner side.

16 oz rotini pasta ((1 box))
4 oz cheddar cheese (cubed)
4 oz mozzarella cheese (cubed)
1 green bell pepper (diced)
1 red bell pepper (diced)
1 cup cherry tomatoes (halved)
1/2 cup red onion (finely diced)
8 oz pepperoni slices (quartered)
1 cup Italian dressing ((see note))
1/4 cup fresh basil (chopped)

Steps:

  • Cook the pasta per package directions. Drain pasta and run under cold water, then place pasta in a large bowl.
  • While the pasta is cooking prep the remaining ingredients. When it is done, mix in the cheese, peppers, tomatoes, onion, pepperoni, and basil.
  • Pour the dressing over the salad and toss to coat.
  • Serve immediately or chill, then toss before serving. Enjoy!

1 BOX Barilla Rotini
1/3 CUP extra virgin olive oil
3 CUPS Cherry Tomatoes Quartered
1 CUP Kalamata Olive Halved
6 OUNCES Tuna In Olive Oil Drained
1 CUP Fresh Buffalo Mozzarella Cheese (May Substitute Fresh Mozzarella)
1 TEASPOON Salt-Packed Caper Soaked
1/2 CUP Fresh Basil Chopped

Steps:

  • BRING a large pot of salted water to a boil
  • SOAK capers in a bowl of water for 30 minutes to remove excess salt
  • COMBINE cherry tomatoes, olives, tuna, mozzarella, basil, salt, pepper and olive oil in a large bowl
  • Set aside to marinate 30 minutes to 2 hours
  • ADD Rotini to boiling water
  • Cook according to package directions
  • Drain, place on flat baking pan, drizzle with olive oil, and let cool
  • DRAIN capers and mince finely; add capers to the large bowl
  • When pasta is cool, add pasta to bowl
  • Toss all ingredients, season with additional salt and pepper as desired, toss well and serve

12 oz. rotini pasta (about 4 cups)
1 can tuna packed in water (drained and flaked)
1 stalk celery (finely chopped)
1/3 cup red onion (finely diced)
1 1/2 cups mayonnaise or salad dressing (*see Note 1)
1 1/2 Tbsp. ketchup or tomato paste
3 Tbsp. sour cream
1 1/2 tsp. paprika
1 1/2 Tbsp. white vinegar
Salt and pepper (to taste)

Steps:

  • Cook pasta to al dente. Drain well, then rinse with cold water until cooled.
  • While pasta is cooking, prepare the celery and red onion. Mix the dressing by combining all the dressing ingredients and mixing well.
  • Place the rinsed, cooled pasta into a large bowl. Add the tuna, celery, red onion and dressing and stir well to combine. Cover bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate at least 2 hours before eating. Taste before serving and season with additional salt and pepper, to taste.

1 (16 ounce) package rotini pasta
1 (16 ounce) bottle creamy Italian-style salad dressing (such as Ken's Steak House® Creamy Italian Dressing)
1 (5 ounce) can tuna, drained and flaked

Steps:

  • Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil; cook the rotini at a boil until tender yet firm to the bite, about 8 minutes; drain. Rinse pasta with cold water until chilled; drain.
  • Mix pasta and salad dressing in a large bowl; fold tuna into the pasta mixture.
  • Cover bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate until the salad is cold, at least 1/2 hour.

This was given to me by a Marine mom to put in our cookbook that we are selling to raise funds to send care packages to the troops. I tried it out one HOT Texas night and it was too good not to post! I hope you like it...

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 lb rotini noodles
2 (6 ounce) cans tuna, drained
1 -2 cup mayonnaise (depending on how creamy you want it) or 1 -2 cup salad dressing (depending on how creamy you want it)
1 (1 7/8 ounce) box dry vegetable soup mix (I use Lipton brand)
6 -8 baby carrots, chopped
2 celery ribs, chopped
10 black olives, chopped (optional)

Steps:

  • Boil Rotini noodles according to package directions.
  • Rinse in cold water to cool.
  • Blend thoroughly tuna, mayonnaise, vegetable soup mix, carrots, celery and black olives.
  • Serve immediately, or place in refrigerator to cool and serve cold.
  • If refrigerated for a couple hours, you may need to add more mayo or a little milk to make this creamy.
  • Enjoy!

1 (900 g) package small rotini pasta, cooked and cooled
2 ripe tomatoes, cut up
1 onion, cut up
1/2 green pepper, cubed
1/2 cucumber, seeded, and cubed
1/3 cup white sugar
1/2 cup salad oil
1/3 cup ketchup
1/4 cup vinegar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1 dash pepper

Steps:

  • Place rotini, cut up tomatoes, onion, green pepper, and cucumber in a large. bowl, set aside.
  • In a saucepan, add sugar, salad oil, ketchup, vinegar, salt, paprika and pepper.Heat until sugar dissolved, and blend well,
  • When the sauce cools, pour over veggies, and refrigerate for an hour. Serves 8-10.

8 ounces small shells pasta (, or your favorite bite-size pasta)
7 ounces canned albacore white tuna, packed in water (, drained)
2 ribs celery (, chopped)
1/4 cup red onion (, chopped)
1 cup frozen peas
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
dried dill weed (, to taste, optional)
salt and freshly ground black pepper (, to taste)

Steps:

  • Cook noodles according to package instructions, until al dente. Drain.
  • In a large bowl add chopped onion and celery, peas, cooked pasta, and drained tuna.
  • In a separate bowl, mix the mayo and Greek yogurt.
  • Stir half of the sauce into the pasta mixture and toss to evenly coat. Season with salt and pepper and dried dil, to taste.
  • Refrigerate pasta and remaining sauce separately, covered, for 30 min. Stir in remaining sauce and serve immediately.
