1 pizza crust (homemade, from a can, or premade crust)
2 ½ tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil, divided
1 cup spinach, stems removed, leaves torn into bite-size pieces
1 red onion, chopped
2 teaspoons jarred minced garlic or fresh
1 roma (plum) tomato, chopped
2 leeks (white and pale green parts only), thinly sliced
Salt to taste
½ cup crumbled feta cheese
1 teaspoon Shredded Parmesan cheese

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).
  • Prepare pizza crust according to package directions. Brush with 1 tablespoon olive oil and spread spinach over top.
  • Combine remaining 1 1/2 tablespoon olive oil, red onion, garlic, tomato, leeks, tuna, and salt in a small bowl. Spread evenly over pizza crust. Top with crumbled feta cheese and shredded Parmesan cheese, if using.
  • Bake in preheated oven 15 minutes, or as directed on crust package. Slice and serve!

1 Wewalka Bistro Pizza crust
1 can albacore tuna in water (5-ounces, drained and crumbled)
2 medium-sized garlic gloves (diced)
3 tablespoons thinly sliced sweet onion
10 +/- kalamata olives (halved)
1 tablespoon of fresh oregano leaves (can substitute with about 1/4 teaspoon of dry oregano)
2 teaspoons Parmesan cheese (grated)
1 tablespoon quality extra virgin olive oil
1 cup mozzarella cheese (freshly grated)
Salt to taste

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven according to the Wewalka package instructions (400° F for convection, 425°F for conventional).
  • Unroll the dough disk from the parchment paper. Then place the parchment paper as a liner for your pizza pan. Lay the dough disk on top of the parchment paper and pat it down to smooth any creases left from being rolled up.
  • Brush the olive oil and then the garlic onto the surface of the dough, spreading evenly and going very close to the edges.
  • Top the garlic and olive oil with the drained and crumbled tuna, spreading evenly. Sprinkle lightly with salt.
  • Add the Kalamata olives and onions, then top those with the oregano and parmesan.
  • Finally, top everything with the shredded mozzarella, making sure to cover the tuna meat completely.
  • Bake according to the Wewalka instructions or until the mozzarella is fully melted and starting to caramelize.
  • Slice and serve hot, drizzling slices with more olive oil, if desired

1 tbsp tomato purée
1 garlic clove
handful pitted black olives
large handful cherry tomatoes , halved
1 tbsp olive oil , for drizzling
1 tbsp capers , drained
200g can tuna in brine, drained and flaked
handful of basil leaves

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 230C/fan 210C/gas 8. Spread the pizza base with tomato purée. Scatter over the garlic, olives, tomatoes and half the oil. Bake for 10 mins until the tomatoes start to colour and the base is crisp.
  • Remove from the oven, sprinkle over the capers, tuna and basil, drizzle with oil, then serve.

Yield Makes 1 12- to 14-inch pizza

1 (14-ounce) can tomatoes, finely chopped and drained in a strainer for 1 hour, or 3/4 cup fresh tomato sauce (page 000)
2 garlic cloves, minced (1 if using fresh tomato sauce, which is already seasoned)
Salt to taste
1 can olive oil-packed light (not albacore) tuna
1 12- to 14-inch pizza crust
1 teaspoon thyme leaves, chopped
1 teaspoon minced fresh rosemary
Hot red pepper flakes
1 tablespoon capers, drained and rinsed thoroughly with cold water
1/2 sweet red pepper, cut in thin strips
1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil

Steps:

  • Place a pizza stone, if you have one, on the middle rack of the oven. Preheat the oven to 450°.
  • If using drained canned tomatoes, season with half the garlic and salt to taste.
  • Break up the tuna in a bowl with a fork and add the remaining garlic and half the thyme and rosemary.
  • Spread the tomatoes or tomato sauce over the pizza. Distribute the tuna over the tomato sauce. Sprinkle on the remaining thyme and rosemary, the pepper flakes, capers, and strips of sweet red pepper. Drizzle on the olive oil.
  • Place the pizza pan on the stone in the hot oven. Bake 10 to 15 minutes, until the crust is brown. Remove from the heat, cut into wedges (I use kitchen scissors for this), and serve.

Steps:

  • First, preheat your oven to about 180°C
  • Squeeze out the juice from the tuna can into your sink as good as possible
  • Next, put the tuna and all the other ingredients into a bowl
  • Mix everything thouroughly, either with a cooking- / tablespoon or with your mixer and the dough hook
  • Finally, spread the mixture evenly on a baking tray and put it into the oven for about 20 minutes
