ADDICTIVE TEXAS TRASH
I make this as yearly tradition at holiday time in my home. I also make a batch of this to send to my brother for his care package that I send him when he is deployed. I will warn you, it is very spicy and addictive. There should be a 12 step recovery program for this stuff.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 250 degrees F (120 degrees C).
- Gently mix corn, rice, and wheat squares, oat rings, mixed nuts, mini pretzels, goldfish crackers, and sesame snacks in two 13x24-inch aluminum roasting pans, taking care not to break cereal.
- Stir bacon drippings, unsalted butter, Worcestershire sauce, MSG, liquid smoke, cayenne pepper, seasoned salt, chili powder, garlic powder, and hot pepper sauce together in a microwave-safe bowl. Cook on high in microwave for 3 or 4 30-second intervals, stirring each time, until mixture is warm, liquid, and fully combined.
- Stir seasoning sauce continuously as you pour half over the cereal mixture in each pan. Gently stir the snack mix and seasonings with a slotted spoon until thoroughly coated; do not crush cereal.
- Bake in the preheated oven until sauce is completely absorbed and the snack mix is crisp, about 2 hours; stir gently every 15 minutes. Cool completely and store in airtight containers. The snack mix stores well in freezer in airtight freezer bags, if it makes it that long.

RANCH SNACK MIX
This is a wonderful fast-to-fix munchie. The recipe makes tons and doesn't involve any cooking. It's a cinch to package in individual snack bags, it keeps its crunch and it's a savory alternative to the cakes and pies usually offered at bake sales. -Linda Murphy, Pulaski, Wisconsin

WHITE CHOCOLATE TRASH

Yield Yield: 48-50 Servings

Steps:
- Combine cereal, pretzels, peanuts and M&M's in a very large bowl (I usually divide everything evenly between two bowls so I don't make a mess stirring). Line two baking sheets with wax or parchment paper; set aside. Combine white chocolate chips and vegetable oil in a microwave-safe bowl then heat and stir at 30-second intervals until chocolate is melted. Pour melted chocolate over dry ingredients then gently fold until well combined. Spoon mixture onto baking sheets, spread to cover pans then add sprinkles on top. Cool in the refrigerator until set. Break cooled mixture into chunks then store in an air-tight container at room temperature. Notes:I've tried this several ways and I really, truly believe to make THE BEST batch you should use these exact ingredients: Corn Chex (not Rice or Wheat Chex or Crispix), dry roasted fully salted peanuts (not party or cocktail peanuts or low or no salt), white chocolate chips (not white almond bark). At some point they stopped calling them "white chocolate chips" and now, I see, they're all called "premium white morsels" or "white baking chips". Just look for the white morsels next to the chocolate chips!
TEXAS TRASH
Not your ordinary snack mix! A BIG, BOLD FLAVOR just like the State of Texas! This can be doubled, tripled or quadrupled successfully. You can also add other ingredients, just keep the proportion of spicy butter to the dry ingredients the same as in the recipe. I usually add goldfish crackers to mine.

- Using microwave, place almond bark or white chips into a microwave safe bowl. Microwave for 30 seconds, stir for 10 seconds. Thereafter, microwave 10 - 15 seconds at a time, stirring each time. Do this slowly to avoid burning as white chocolate candies burn easily! This takes anywhere from 1 - 3 minutes depending on your microwave. If using a stove top, heat 1" of water in a pan until just simmering. Place candy in a heat proof bowl that will fit on top of pan and stir continuously until just melted. Remove from heat.
