Tomato Soup Bars image

Certainly not "Gourmet" fare, but a really Q&E great "down-home" comfort dessert. Plus it's fun to play "guess the mystery ingredient". I have used either a confectioners sugar or a cream cheee frosting..both are good. Servings depend on how large you cut the bars

1 (10 3/4 ounce) can tomato soup
5 3/8 ounces cans water
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup raisins
1 1/2 teaspoons allspice
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 cups all-purpose flour

Steps:

  • Mix all ingredients and pour into a greased and floured 16 x 20-inch pan.
  • Bake at 350 degrees F for 20 minutes.
