As a college student, my friend used to make these in the dorm. Then she used to make them for my kids. Not bad, I say!

Yield 2 Toasty Dogs

Number Of Ingredients 5

Ingredients

2 slices bread
butter
2 slices cheese
2 hot dogs
2 toothpicks

Steps:

Top each slice of bread with a slice of cheese and a hotdog.
Fold over, and secure each with a toothpick.
Spread butter on the outside of the bread slices.
Toast in toaster oven until golden brown.

1/2 stick butter, melted
1 teaspoon parsley flakes
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1/2 teaspoon cracked black pepper
4 hot dog buns, quartered lengthwise

Steps:

Mix butter with seasonings and spread or brush on bread fingers. Bake in 400° oven 10-15 minutes till lightly browned.
