I made this using Turkey Italian sausage and Turkey Pepperoni in hopes of cutting down on the fat. We could not tell the difference in taste between the turkey products and beef or pork. And it is very good and very easy. Serve with Italian bread and green salad. Enjoy

8 ounces uncooked spiral shaped pasta (about 3 cups)
1 lb Italian sausage (casings removed)
4 cups spaghetti sauce
1 (4 ounce) can mushrooms, drained
1 cup grated parmesan cheese
1 (6 ounce) package sliced pepperoni
8 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • On the stovetop, bring a large pot of water to boil. Cook the pasta according to package directions and drain. Return the pasta to the pot.
  • Meanwhile, in a saute pan over medium heat, cook the sausage; drain. Add the sausage, spaghetti sauce and mushrooms to the pasta and stir to combine. Stir in the Parmesan cheese and half the pepperoni slices.
  • Spread pasta mixture into a lightly greased 9"x13" pan. Top with the mozzarella cheese. Arrange remaining half of pepperoni slices over top.
  • Bake for 20 minutes, until cheese is bubbly.

1 package (16 ounces) egg noodles
2 pounds ground turkey
1/3 cup chopped onion
1 jar (24 ounces) meatless spaghetti sauce
1 can (10 ounces) diced tomatoes and green chilies
1 can (8 ounces) mushroom stems and pieces, drained
2 cups shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
3 ounces sliced turkey pepperoni

Steps:

  • In a Dutch oven, cook noodles according to package directions; drain., Meanwhile, in a large skillet, cook turkey and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain. Stir in the spaghetti sauce and tomatoes. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 5 minutes. Stir in noodles. , Transfer to two greased 13x9-in. baking dishes. Sprinkle each with mushrooms, cheeses and pepperoni. , Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 30-35 minutes or until heated through and cheeses have melted. Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.

1 (8 ounce) package uncooked egg noodles
1 (16 ounce) jar spaghetti sauce, or as needed
1 (2.25 ounce) can sliced black olives, drained
1 (2.5 ounce) can sliced mushrooms, drained
1 (8 ounce) package sliced pepperoni, coarsely chopped
20 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese, divided

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  • Cook the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until no longer pink, breaking the meat apart into crumbles as it cooks, about 10 minutes.
  • Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a rolling boil. Cook the egg noodles in the boiling water until cooked through yet slightly firm, about 5 minutes; drain.

1 lb ground Italian sausage
1 (24 ounce) jar pasta sauce
1 (16 ounce) container cottage cheese
1 (2 1/4 ounce) can sliced black olives, drained

12 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese
2 (3 ounce) packages sliced pepperoni

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease a 9X13 casserole dish.

1/2 lb Italian turkey sausage, casings removed
3 cups pizza sauce or 3 cups marinara sauce
1/2 cup sliced black olives
4 ounces pepperoni
8 ounces ricotta cheese
2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
1/2 cup parmigiano-reggiano cheese, grated (parmesan)
1/2 teaspoon oregano (optional)

Steps:

  • Cook the pasta as directed on package but stop 3 minutes early, drain and set aside.
  • Meanwhile, cook the sausage in a large saucepan over medium heat, about 10 minutes.
  • Mix in the sauce with the sausage and 3/4's of the olives and pepperoni and set aside.
  • Mix the ricotta, mozzarella and Parmesan and set aside.
  • Place half of the pasta in the bottom of a large baking dish, top with half of the sauce, followed by half of the cheese mixture and repeat with another layer of each, finally topping with the remaining olives, pepperoni and oregano.
  • Bake in a preheated 350F oven covered in foil until bubbling at the sides, about 20-30 minutes, remove the foil and bake until the cheese has melted and started to turn golden brown, about 10 minutes.
