This bloody mary has a lot of ingredients but, trust us, it's worth it. Perfect for a dinner party garnished with an olive, or just as a treat at the weekend

50ml vodka
50ml tomato juice
25ml lemon juice
pinch of celery salt
splash of Worcestershire sauce
splash of Tabasco sauce
a few drops of liquid smoke
green olives, halved, to serve

Steps:

  • Put all the ingredients in a jug with a pinch of seasoning and lots of ice. Give it a stir, then strain into eight shot glasses with a half green olive on a cocktail stick to garnish. Try serving with our bacon bowls.

Dash red wine
Dash wine and sherry mix, not available commercially, recipe follows
Pinch celery salt
Salt and pepper
7 drops Worcestershire sauce
5 drops hot sauce
1 (6-ounce) container tomato juice
Celery stalks
Cherry tomatoes

Steps:

  • Combine all of the ingredients in a highball glass containing ice, stir well, and serve with a celery stick and cherry tomato.
  • To substitute mix, add red wine and a dry sherry to the Bloody Mary.

1 teaspoon celery salt
1 teaspoon black pepper, fresh ground
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 teaspoons Tabasco sauce
1 tablespoon lemon juice
3 tablespoons lime juice

Steps:

  • Mix well and add some chopped celery for added flavor. Chill 1 hour or longer if you can stand to wait. Strain and serve over ice, garnished with celery stick.
