THE BUCKLEY
This sage- and lime-infused gin cocktail is perfect for brunch. Cocchi Americano-an Italian aperitif wine-is beloved for its citrus, herbal, and bitter flavor.

Steps:
- In a small pot, combine 20 sage leaves, sugar, and 1 cup of water. Bring to a boil then lower heat to moderately low and simmer until aromatic and slightly thickened, about 10 minutes. Allow syrup to cool, then pour through a fine-mesh sieve and discard the sage. DO AHEAD: The sage simple syrup can be made in advance and stored, in an airtight container in the refrigerator, up to 1 week
- In a cocktail shaker, combine 3/4 ounce sage simple syrup with the gin, Cocchi Aperitivo Americano, and lime juice. Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously until completely mixed, about 20 seconds. Strain into a chilled champagne coupe, then slowly add the Campari so that it settles at the bottom of the glass. Garnish with a fresh sage leaf.
BEST BLUEBERRY BUCKLE
Blueberry buckle is one of the first things I learned to bake as a teenager. Always make this with fresh blueberries for best results! Enjoy!

BUCKEYES I
This recipe is so good that I double it whenever I make it. Since it is peanut butter balls dipped in chocolate it is almost like candy. Real buckeyes are nuts that grow on trees and are related to the horse chestnut.

Steps:
- In a large bowl, mix together the peanut butter, butter, vanilla and confectioners' sugar. The dough will look dry. Roll into 1 inch balls and place on a waxed paper-lined cookie sheet.
- Press a toothpick into the top of each ball (to be used later as the handle for dipping) and chill in freezer until firm, about 30 minutes.
- Melt chocolate chips in a double boiler or in a bowl set over a pan of barely simmering water. Stir frequently until smooth.
- Dip frozen peanut butter balls in chocolate holding onto the toothpick. Leave a small portion of peanut butter showing at the top to make them look like Buckeyes. Put back on the cookie sheet and refrigerate until serving.

BAKED FRUIT BUCKLEY
Super-easy way to make a baked fruit dessert. It makes a nice autumn treat. This isn't a fruit crisp, nor a buckle, nor a cobbler nor a betty, hence the name. It comes closer to the German Kaiserschmarrn. You can use peaches, pears, nectarines, whole blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, or a combination of fruits (or frozen berries), plus raisins if you like them.

BUCKEYES
These chocolate peanut butter balls (no bake!) are always popular at my church's annual Christmas fundraiser. They resemble chestnuts or buckeyes-hence the name. -Merry Kay Opitz, Elkhorn, Wisconsin
