- In a small bowl, combine the first five ingredients. Pour 1/2 cup into a resealable plastic bag; add beef. Seal bag and turn to coat. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour. Cover and refrigerate remaining marinade., Drain and discard marinade. In a large nonstick skillet or wok, stir-fry beef in batches in oil for 2-3 minutes or until no longer pink. Remove and keep warm., Add broccoli, onion and peppers to the pan; stir-fry for 4 minutes. Add mushrooms; stir-fry 1-2 minutes longer or until vegetables are tender. Return beef to the pan. Combine cornstarch and reserved marinade until smooth; stir into beef mixture. Bring to a boil; cook and stir until thickened. Serve over rice if desired.

- In a skillet, brown steak in oil; drain. Sprinkle with 3 tablespoons of teriyaki sauce, seasoned salt and pepper. Cover and cook over medium heat for 5 minutes or until meat is almost tender, stirring frequently. , Stir in onion and red pepper. Cover and cook for 5-8 minutes or until meat and vegetables are tender. In a bowl, combine cornstarch, water and remaining teriyaki sauce until smooth. Add to skillet. bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened.

TERIYAKI BEEF STIR-FRY OR MARINADE
Yet another recipe from Chatelaine, but this was originally in the magazine as a salad. The salad didn't appeal to me, but I used it as a base for a great stirfry and used the dressing as a marinade. I then added some things here and there to give it a unique flavor. Cooking time does not include marinating in fridge.

- Mix all ingredients together for the marinade.
- Cut the beef into one inch strips and add to the marinade.
- Put in a plastic container or Ziploc bag in refrigerator for 3 to 4 hours, stirring/shaking often.
- To make stirfry, heat sesame oil in a non-stick skillet or wok skillet.
- Add the sesame seeds, garlic and ginger and mix together until seeds are slightly toasted and flavors blended.
- Add sliced Spanish onion, green peppers, 1/4 cup of marinade, mix well and stirfry until onions are slightly translucent.
- Add the beef, mixing well to blend all the flavors and ingredients.
- If you want, you can add some more of the marinade with the beef.
- Stir fry about 5- 7 minutes on medium heat for medium rare or longer for your tastes.
- It went great with a bottle of Cabernet Shiraz Merlot red wine.
- Note: I reduced the measurement for the teriyaki sauce because it was a tad salty when I originally made it.
- If you don't mind the salty flavor, you can add more for your taste.

- How to cut the beef for the beef teriyaki.Since you will need to cook the beef very quickly, on high heat, follow the following instructions to prepare the beef for the stir-fry. Choose the right cut of beef(mentioned above). Cut against the grain. Keeping in mind, that beef shrinks in size when cooked, cut the beef into very thin bite-size pieces. How to marinate the beef for the teriyaki stir-fry.Place the beef in a bowl then marinate the beef slices with salt(1/2 tsp)and pepper(1/2 tsp) for 10-20 minutes. How to prepare the vegetables for the beef teriyaki.For the vegetables, in beef teriyaki, you can use, any type of vegetable that cooks fast. I used cauliflower because that's what I had. For example, broccoli, button mushrooms, green peas, asparagus and green beans are great options instead of cauliflower. How to cut the cauliflower for the beef teriyaki.Wash the cauliflower. break the cauliflower into large florets and then cut them into smaller florets. Cut the bell pepper into thin slices and discard the seeds. Making the teriyaki sauce. Into a small pan add, sugar(1/4 cup), water(1/2 cup), soy sauce(1/4 cup). minced ginger and garlic(1 tbs), oil(1 tbs). Over low heat, cook the ingredients until sugar dissolves. 2 minutes. Add oil(1 tablespoon) followed by cauliflower, bell pepper slices into the wok, season with a pinch of salt and stir-fry the vegetables for 3-5 minutes over low-medium fire. The vegetables need to be a little soft and crispy. You can add a few tablespoons(2-3) of water to soften them if need be. Add the crispy stir-fried beef into the wok and combine well over low heat. Reduce heat and add the homemade teriyaki sauce onto the beef slices and vegetables. cook over medium heat. Check for seasoning and serve warm. Always serve the beef teriyaki warm.

- Mix water, pineapple juice, brown sugar, tamari, garlic, ginger paste, and onion powder together in a resealable zip-top bag. Reserve 1/2 cup marinade, add tapioca flour to reserved marinade and set aside. Cut beef into 1-inch pieces; add to the marinade in the bag, seal the bag, and refrigerate for 45 minutes.
- Turn on a multi-functional pressure cooker (such as Instant Pot®) and select Saute function. Add oil; add red pepper flakes and sirloin pieces, discarding marinade. Saute until browned, 5 to 7 minutes.
- Place bell peppers, onion, and carrots in a steamer bucket. Place bucket on top of meat. Hit Cancel.

- Cut the beef into 1-by-2-by-1/4-inch strips. Put in a bowl and coat with the brown sugar, lime zest, 3 tablespoons of the soy sauce and some black pepper. Set aside for a few minutes while you make the sauce.
- Whisk together the teriyaki sauce, cornstarch, sesame oil, rice vinegar, lime juice and remaining 3 tablespoons soy sauce in a bowl.

- Whisk the Teriyaki Sauce ingredients together in a small bowl. Remove 1/4 cup and add it to bag with the sliced beef. Massage to coat steak. Marinate at room temperature for 30 minutes (only recommend if using top sirloin) or refrigerate for up to 24 hours.
- Heat a drizzle of vegetable oil in a large cast iron skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add pineapple and stir fry until caramelized, about 2 minutes; remove pineapple to a plate.
