Steps:
- Line a paper plate or baking sheet with parchment paper; set aside.
- Place the ground turkey in a large bowl. Add all of the ingredients from the kosher salt through to the dried herbs. With clean hands, get in there and mix the ingredients until well combined.
- Shape four even patties with your hands. Ensure they're solid and well-formed, then set onto the parchment-covered surface. Wash your hands and place the patties in the fridge for at least 30 minutes, if not a few hours. This will help the patties become more sturdy and stay together when cooking.

Although many folks use this method of cooking burgers, I have found that most do not...I enjoy a good home-made burger but all too often they end up being dry and hard and not very tasty...The solution simply, is water (or any liguid you would like to flavor the burger with)...

MOIST TURKEY BURGERS
I changed the recipe to make these delicious burgers for more people. I caramelized the onions to give it more depth of flavor. I also added Dijon mustard and real garlic instead of garlic powder. I also cut down on the amount of bread crumbs and made them out of whole wheat to make them a little healthier. I also omitted the soy sauce for the same reason. They came out great. The only thing I would do different next time is to give them just a little heat. Enjoy.

- In a medium bowl, mix all ingredients together until well combined. Use as much or as little of the un-measured seasonings as you’d like, roughly between a half to full teaspoon of each. Just try to use your best judgement. Remember ground turkey is slightly more bland than beef, so you can kinda get away with adding so many different flavors here. You don’t have to use ALL of the seasonings I used, but definitely use what you have. These are merely suggestions.
- Form your patties about 1 1/2 inches thick. They will be tender to form, so be gentle. Lightly pinch the middle of the patty together to make an indentation. This prevents the middle from rising as much and giving you a rounded burger instead of a flatter one. Cook for about 5 to 7 minutes on each side, or until juices are clear of any pink.

- Place all of the turkey burger ingredients in a bowl and lightly toss with your fingers into a fine crumble until mixed thoroughly. With slightly wet hands pat into 3-4 tidy patties, 1-inch thick.
- , heat 1-2 tablespoon oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the turkey burgers and let them get golden, resisting the urge to fiddle (they may stick). Once they get a golden crust, they will naturally release themselves from the pan. Then flip. Cook each side about 5-6 minutes, or cooked through.
- Make sure grill is hot and grates are greased. Grill each side until golden, 4-5 minutes, lower the heat or move to cooler part to cook through.

- Before combining the ingredients together, place slices of bread into a wide, shallow bowl and pour milk over it. Let bread soak up the milk.
- Combine all ingredients except the bread in a large mixing bowl. Squeeze out most of the milk out of bread slices and crumble the bread as finely as you can. Crumbling it will ensure that bread is spread evenly throughout. (Discard squeezed out milk.)
- Cover a baking sheet or a large cutting board with parchment paper and shape the burger patties.

- Saute the chopped onion and minced garlic in about ½ tablespoon oil for a few minutes until the onion starts softening and browning. Or skip this step and use a teaspoon of onion powder and ½ teaspoon garlic powder instead (I do not recommend skipping, see notes).
- Combine all the ingredients for the turkey burgers (ground turkey, egg, oats, sauteed onion or onion powder, salt, pepper) into a bowl and mix well with a fork. Try not to mash the turkey, but to mix it instead. Using wet hands, form 4 - 6 burger patties. Wetting your hands between each burger will prevent the turkey from sticking to your hands.
- Heat up some the olive oil (1-2 tablespoons) in your oven-safe pan, and carefully place the burgers in the the pan. Cook for 3 minutes on each side over medium-high heat, or until each side is nicely browned. The inside will still be raw at this point, that's OK.
