Here's what you need: butter, american cheese, flour, salt, water, ground beef, onion, salsa, refried bean, taco seasoning, american cheese, shredded lettuce, tomato, sour cream, shredded cheese

¼ cup butter, chopped
3 slices american cheese
1 cup flour
¼ teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons water
1 lb ground beef
½ cup onion, chopped
½ cup salsa
1 refried bean
1 taco seasoning
6 slices american cheese
1 cup shredded lettuce
1 tomato, chopped
sour cream
shredded cheese

Steps:

  • Combine crust ingredients except water in food processor bowl.
  • Pulse until the mixture creates coarse crumbles. Add water, one tablespoon at a time, until the dough forms a ball.
  • Roll out dough on a lightly floured surface. Place into 9-inch (22cm) pie plate, and trim the sides.
  • Bake at 400°F/204°C for 10-15 minutes or until crust is golden brown.
  • Cook onions and beef in a medium skillet until beef is browned and cooked through. Drain if watery.
  • Return beef to skillet, add salsa, and taco seasoning. Cook until bubbly.
  • Pour into baked crust. Top with refried beans, and cheese.
  • Bake 3 minutes or until cheese is melted.
  • Let cool. Top with lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream and more cheese!

1-1/2 pounds ground beef
1 envelope taco seasoning
1/2 cup water
1 can (2-1/4 ounces) sliced ripe olives, drained
1 cup crushed corn chips, divided
1 unbaked pastry shell (9 inches)
1 cup sour cream
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Shredded lettuce and sliced avocado, optional

Steps:

  • In a large skillet, cook beef until no longer pink; drain. Stir in the taco seasoning, water and olives. Simmer, uncovered, for 5 minutes, stirring frequently., Sprinkle half of the corn chips into pastry shell. Top with meat mixture, sour cream and cheese. Cover with remaining corn chips., Bake at 375° for 20-25 minutes or until crust is golden brown. Cut into wedges. Top with lettuce and avocado if desired.

1 pound ground beef
1 package taco seasoning
1/2 cup water
1/3 cup pimiento-stuffed olives, sliced
1 tube (8 ounces) refrigerated crescent rolls
1-1/2 cups corn chips, crushed, divided
1 cup sour cream
3/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup shredded lettuce
2 medium tomatoes, seeded and chopped

Steps:

  • In a skillet, cook beef over medium heat until no longer pink; drain. Add the taco seasoning, water and olives. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 5 minutes., Separate crescent dough into eight triangles and place in a 9-in. deep-dish pie plate with points toward the center. Press onto the bottom and up the sides of pan to form crust; seal perforations. Sprinkle half the corn chips over crust. Spoon beef mixture over chips. Spread sour cream over beef. Sprinkle with cheddar cheese; top with remaining chips., Bake, uncovered, at 375° for 20-25 minutes until golden brown. Serve topped with lettuce and tomatoes.

This has always been my favorite taco pie. I lost the recipe and naturally searched for it on zaar, but to my surprise, there were no taco pie recipes using a pie crust. I finally found the recipe, so here it is.

1/2 lb lean ground beef
1 deep dish pie shell
3 tablespoons taco seasoning (homemade, or I use Penzeys)
1 (15 ounce) can refried beans
1 (8 ounce) jar salsa (your favorite)
8 ounces shredded cheese (Cheddar, Mexican blend, whatever)
2 cups crushed tortilla chips (approx.; flavor doesn't matter)
lettuce (optional)
diced tomato (optional)
sliced black olives (optional)
sour cream (optional)
sliced jalapeno (optional)

Steps:

  • Bake the pie crust according to package directions.
  • Preheat oven to 350.
  • Brown ground beef and drain.
  • Add taco seasoning, following package directions.
  • Mix the beans and the salsa in a bowl.
  • Spread the bean mixture in the bottom of the baked pie crust.
  • Add half the ground beef.
  • Top with half the tortilla chips.
  • Top with half the cheese.
  • Repeat ingredient layering to make a second layer.
  • Bake at 350 for approximately 20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted to your liking.
  • Cool for 10 minutes to allow pie to set.
  • Slice and top with whatever optional toppings you would like.

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Prepare a large deep-dish pie pan with cooking spray.

1 (14.5 ounce) can diced tomatoes with green chile peppers, drained
½ cup water
1 cup sour cream
1 (1.25 ounce) package taco seasoning mix
8 ounces shredded Colby-Monterey Jack cheese
1 (18 ounce) package corn tortilla chips

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • In a medium skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef and drain fat. Add the diced tomatoes with green chile peppers, water, sour cream and taco seasoning mix. Let simmer for 5 to 10 minutes.
