SEVEN LAYER TACO DIP
I am continuously asked to bring this dip for parties and family get-togethers. People gather around the platter until it's gone.

Steps:
- In a medium bowl, blend the taco seasoning mix and refried beans. Spread the mixture onto a large serving platter.
- Mix the sour cream and cream cheese in a medium bowl. Spread over the refried beans.
- Top the layers with salsa. Place a layer of tomato, green bell pepper, green onions and lettuce over the salsa, and top with Cheddar cheese. Garnish with black olives.

TACO DIP
This Taco Dip is an easy game day dish to make, and fun to serve. The four layers of deliciousness are sure to please your hungry crowd. This dip of refried beans, taco seasoned ground beef, sour cream and Mexican cheese topped with diced tomato, jalapeño, and served with tortilla chips is a fan favorite at our house!

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Prepare a 9-inch pie plate by spraying it with cooking spray.
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the olive oil.
- Add chopped onion to the skillet and saute until soft, about 4-5 minutes.
- Place the ground beef into the pan and heat until completely cooked, breaking it apart as it cooks.
- Drain the fat.
- Add the packet of taco seasoning, and 2/3 cup water. Stir to combine and simmer for at least 5 minutes. Let cool slightly.
- Spread the refried beans on the bottom of the pie plate.
- Completely cover with seasoned ground beef.
- Spread with sour cream.
- Evenly distribute shredded cheese.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until cheese is melted and everything is heated through.
- Garnish with diced fresh tomato, jalapeño and serve with tortilla chips

- Place the cream cheese in the bowl of a mixer. Beat for 1-2 minutes until light and fluffy.
- Add the sour cream and beat until well combined. Add the taco seasoning and mix for another 30 seconds.
- Spread the creamy mixture into the bottom of a 9 inch dish.
- Sprinkle the cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, olives and green onions over the creamy layer.

Found this recipe in a newspaper. Changed a few things, made it and it was a hit. You may want to change the heat in this dip by using mild or hot taco sauce or adding or omitting the green chiles.

- In a large skillet cook beef over medium heat until it is no longer pink, drain.
- Add green chiles, water and taco seasonings. Stir.
- Simmer for 5 minutes. Cool.
- In a large bowl combine cream cheese and salad dressing.
- Spread on a 14 inch serving platter or pizza pan.
- Top with cooled meat mixture.
- Sprinkle with tomatoes, onions and lettuce.
- Drizzle with taco sauce.
- Sprinkle with cheddar cheese.

- I put this on a 12" round platter, but any dish would be fine.
- Put the cream cheese in a bowl and beat with mixer.
- Slowly add the taco sauce and beat well.
- Neatly spread this on a platter.
- Sprinkle the lettuce as the next layer.
- Then over this arrange the diced tomatoes.
- Next layer is the green pepper and then the onion.
- Next layer is the olives arranged nicely.
- Then lastly is the cheddar cheese; (In the photo I did not put it on because I didn't have any, but by the time we ate it, I had gone to the store and got some).
- Use frito scoops or tortillas for scooping up the platter.
