SYLVIA'S VERSION OF LAZY CABBAGE ROLLS
I absolutely love cabbage rolls with the sour cabbage, but don't like the fuss and mess of rolling them or the cost of the sour cabbage. I am sure there is recipes out there very much like this, but this is what I throw together for that satisfying cabbage roll taste.

Steps:
- Cook hamburger and onion until done.
- Stir in the uncooked rice to the hamburger mixture.
- Place in greased casserole or small roasting pan.
- Cover with can of saurkraut that has been mixed with the dill and caraway seeds.
- Top with a can of tomato soup and the can of water.
- Bake in 325 degree oven for approximately 1 1/2 hour.

Steps:
- Put cabbage in bottom of slow cooker.
- Add beef broth.
- Make meatballs with meat,salt,pepper,onion, worcestershire sauce and rice and egg white.
- Place on top of cabbage trying not to let them touch each other.
- Mix soup and water.
- Pour over meatballs (porcupines).
- Cover and cook on Low for approximately 6 hours.

Can also use tomato juice in place of the soup and skip the water. This has all the flavour of real cabbage rolls, but not near as much work. This works in the crock pot too.

Steps:
- Brown beef in skillet until meat is cooked.
- Drain excess grease.
- mix together with onion, mushrooms, rice and caraway seeds.
- Put meat into large casserole and top with the sauerkraut and soup mixture.
- Bake about 3/4 hour at 350 degrees.
- Mixture should be quite runny to start as it will thicken in oven.
- This can be varied to suit your taste with more or less sauerkraut.
