MARGARITA PARTY PIE
This frozen pie is great for summer barbecues! Very tasty! Frozen strawberries may be used instead of fresh.

- In a large bowl, combine crushed pretzels, sugar and butter. Mix well and press onto the bottom and sides of a 9 inch pie pan.
- In a large bowl, combine sweetened condensed milk, lime juice, tequila and orange liqueur. Pour half of the mixture into another bowl. Add strawberries and a few drops of red food coloring to one half. To other half, add only a drop or two of yellow food coloring. Fold one cup of whipped cream into each half.
- Spoon into crust, alternating colors. Freeze for 4 hours or overnight.

MARGARITA PIE
This creamy pie tastes just like the drink. Don't skip the salted lime wedge garnish!

- For the crust: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Process the graham crackers and sugar in a food processor to a fine crumb. Add the melted butter and tequila, and pulse until moist. Press the crumbs into a 9-inch pie plate, and bake until firm, 12 to 15 minutes. Let the crust cool completely on a wire rack.
- For the filling: Whisk together the condensed milk, limeade, tequila, lime juice, liqueur and salt in a large bowl until smooth and combined. Beat the cream with an electric mixer fitted with a whisk attachment on medium-high speed in another large bowl until stiff peaks form. Reduce the speed to low, and drizzle in the condensed milk mixture. Return the mixer to medium-high, and beat until the mixture is completely incorporated and fluffy, about 30 seconds, stopping to scrape down the side of the bowl if necessary. Transfer the filling to the cooled crust, cover loosely with plastic wrap and freeze until firm, at least 6 hours or overnight.
- Transfer the pie to the refrigerator 30 minutes before serving. Garnish with lime wedges dipped in salt, and serve.
SUR LA TABLE MARGARITA PIE (ALCOHOL-FREE)
This refreshing summer recipe comes from my local Sur La Table kitchen store. Note: By substituting key lime juice for the margarita mixer, you can make a delicious, tart key lime pie!

- Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees F. Mix well together condensed milk, margarita mixer, and egg yolks.
- Pour mixture into unbaked graham cracker crust.
- Bake at 350 degrees F for 15 minutes. Allow pie to cool for (at least) 15 minutes before chilling in refrigerator. Chill for (at least) 4 hours before serving with a dollop of Cool Whip.

- Mix graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and brown sugar in a bowl.
- Press crumb mixture into an 8-inch pie dish to form a crust.
- Whisk eggs and sweetened condensed milk together in large saucepan.
- Stir lemon juice and tequila into the egg mixture.
- Slowly bring egg mixture just to a boil over medium-low heat, stirring constantly until thickened, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and cool slightly.
- Pour egg mixture into prepared pie dish.
- Whisk sour cream and white sugar together in a bowl until well mixed.
- Spoon sour cream mixture over lemon pie.
- Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
