SUPER EASY REMOULADE SAUCE

So easy my husband actually followed the recipe. Here is an easy recipe for remoulade sauce a french cajun sauce popularized in New Orleans. I made this sauce to feature in my po boy recipe but it will go.

Number Of Ingredients 10

1 cup mayonnaise
3 tablespoons spicy brown grain mustard
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon Louisiana hot sauce(or hot sauce of your choice)
1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
1/2 teaspoon freshly cracked pepper
1/4 cup dill pickle relish(juices drained)
3 tablespoons ketchup
3 tablespoons creole seasoning
Note.....play around with the tastes you like, I've used capers, horseradish, anchovies, or Worcestershire sauce also to change it up a bit

Steps:

  • Mix all of your ingredients in a bowl. Best flavor meld comes if you can refrigerate for 24 hours before serving.

1/4 cup horseradish mustard
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder

  • Mix ketchup, mayo, and mustard.
  • Add garlic and onion powder to taste.

Our Shrimp, Crawfish or Crab boils here in New Orleans are never without this sauce for dipping them in! We also dip our seafood boiled potatoes in this sauce. The variation way is probably our preferred way.

2 teaspoons lemon juice
3 teaspoons chopped parsley
2 teaspoons brown mustard
2 tablespoons sweet relish
1/2 cup ketchup or 1/2 cup catsup
1 teaspoon horseradish
1 dash paprika
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce (optional)

Steps:

  • Mix together and served chilled.
  • FOR THE VARIATION:OMIT brown mustard and relish.
  • And ADD the Worcestershire.
  • (probably our preferred way).
