This no-cook cranberry salsa recipe combines loads of fresh cranberries with spicy jalapeno peppers and a few other ingredients for a quick and easy holiday salsa. Bring on the chips!

Number Of Ingredients 12

12 ounces fresh cranberries
3 jalapeno peppers (finely chopped)
1 shallot (minced)
¼ cup green onion (chopped)
¼ cup chopped cilantro
2 tablespoons chopped fresh mint
¼ cup sugar
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
1 tablespoon honey
Juice from 1 small lime + some lime zest
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper

Steps:

  • Rinse the cranberries then transfer them to a food processor. Pulse a few times to finely chop them. Do not overprocess.
  • Transfer the chopped cranberries to a large bowl and add the remaining ingredients (jalapeno, shallot, green onion, cilantro, mint, sugar, vinegar, honey, lime juice and zest, and salt and pepper).
  • Mix well. Seal and refrigerate at least 1 hour to let the flavors mingle. It's even better the next day.

1 (12 ounce) bag fresh cranberries
6 tablespoons white sugar
2 tablespoons brandy-based orange liqueur (such as Grand Marnier®)
½ cucumber - peeled, seeded, and diced
2 stalks celery, chopped
4 slices pickled jalapeno pepper, finely chopped

Steps:

  • Place the cranberries into a food processor, and pulse until finely chopped. They should still have some texture. Transfer to a serving bowl, and stir in the sugar, orange liqueur, cucumber, celery and jalapeno. Let sit at room temperature for 15 minutes before serving to blend the flavors.

Easy Cranberry Salsa Recipe is made with jalapeño, cilantro and citrus has big, bright flavors and it's done in just 5 minutes! Goes great with bread or crackers with cream cheese for an appetizer, served with chips, over baked brie or on sandwiches! I like using lime juice and zest, however you may substitute a lemon instead. I've additionally seen a cranberry orange salsa so i feel even orange zest and orange juice would work here. You can also leave some membranes in or add a second jalapeño if you would like to spice this up a bit. As is, it's pretty delicate. You need to prepare this ahead of serving it and it's because it must go in the refrigerator for a minimum of an hour to help the flavors mix and mellow. You may possibly get away with simply 1/3 cup of sugar in this recipe, if you're trying to reduce it, however I wouldn't go below that. (It also can rely upon how tart your cranberries are.) This salsa can unleash more juice as it sits. you can strain it a small amount or used a slotted spoon if you need it to be drier when you go to serve it. This Cranberry Salsa with cream cheese is a spicy and sweet combo that is always a hit at parties.

12 ounces fresh cranberries
3/4 cup granulated sugar ((add more to taste))
1 jalapeno (, seeded and chopped coarsely (leave the seeds in if you like it spicy))
1/2 cup cilantro
4 green onions
2 tablespoons lime juice
pinch of salt
2 8 ounce blocks of cream cheese

Steps:

  • Place all of the ingredients in a food processor (EXCEPT CREAM CHEESE) and pulse until desired consistency. I like mine fairly fine. Chill in the fridge for a couple of hours (preferably overnight) to allow the salsa to macerate. Serve over cream cheese and with crackers.
  • This makes enough to cover two blocks of cream cheese. Some people prefer to spread the cream cheese on a serving dish with the salsa on top. I prefer to just pour it on top of a block of cream cheese.
  • Depending on how tart your cranberries are you may want to add more sugar. This last batch I added a total of 1 cup of sugar.

I've made this every year since .. and always pack into mason jars embellished with ribbon or twine to use as hostess gifts around the holidays.

1 lg. jar(s) of your favorite brand of chunky salsa (spicy or mild, which ever you prefer).
1 can(s) of ocean spray (whole-berry) cranberry sauce

Steps:

  • 1. Mix together and serve. Once made .. can last weeks in the refrigerator.
  • 2. Serve as a dip along side your favorite tortilla chip. Also great poured over a block of cream cheese sprinkled with cilantro and served with assorted crackers. Left overs can be poured over chicken or turkey cutlets and baked. Lot's of uses for this super simple dip!

Sea salt
2 cups fresh cranberries or frozen, thawed
1 1/3 cups chopped green onions (dark green parts only; about 2 bunches)
1 cup chopped fresh cilantro
2 tablespoons minced seeded serrano chiles
6 tablespoons sugar
6 tablespoons fresh lime juice
Ingredient Info: Pumpkin seed oil is available at specialty foods stores and from culinarydistrict.com. Look for pepitas at the supermarket or at a natural foods store.

Steps:

  • Heat oil in skillet over medium heat. Add pepitas; stir until golden, about 1 minute. Transfer to plate; sprinkle with sea salt. Place cranberries in processor. Using on/off turns, process until finely chopped. Transfer to bowl. Add onions, cilantro, and chiles. Stir sugar and lime juice in another bowl until sugar dissolves. DO AHEAD: Cranberry and lime juice mixtures can be made 4 hours ahead. Cover separately; chill.
