Ravioli Stuffed Sliders image

These little burgers have a creamy cheese ravioli stuffed inside.

Provided by The Food in My Beard

Categories     Entree

Time 45m

Yield 10

Number Of Ingredients 9

10 cheese-filled ravioli
1 1/4 lb ground beef
10 mini buns
10 slices American cheese
2 onions, diced
1 clove garlic, minced
1 can (14.5 oz) Muir Glen™ diced tomatoes
1 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons butter

Steps:

  • Cook the onions in the butter with some salt until very, very browned.
  • Add the garlic and cook one minute.
  • Add the can of tomatoes with the juices. Simmer and cook about 15 minutes.
  • Add the ketchup to the sauce and blend until smooth.
  • Meanwhile, boil your ravioli according to package instructions.
  • To make the burgers, grab a handful of beef and press it onto a plate until very thin. Put one of the ravioli on the beef and wrap the beef around it. Try and press out any air but be gentle and careful not to break the ravioli. There will be rips, but just work to fill them in and remove any excess beef from the sides of the burger. Don't worry about getting it perfect.
  • Grill the burgers until browned and cooked through. Top with cheese and serve on a bun with some of the sauce.

CHEESE STUFFED SLIDERS WITH BALSAMIC ONION JAM

Cheese Stuffed Sliders with Balsamic Onion Jam image

Indulge in these amazing cheese stuffed sliders for dinner!

Provided by Kellie

Categories     Dinner

Time 21m

Number Of Ingredients 9

2 tablespoons olive oil
2 vidalia onions (small dice)
1/2 cup water
2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
1 1/2 pounds ground beef (I used 80/20)
1 teaspoon kosher salt (divided)
1 teaspoon fresh ground pepper (divided)
6 ounces VELVEETA® Cheese (cut into six cubes)
6 slider rolls

Steps:

  • Preheat the grill.
  • To make the jam:
  • Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the onions and sauté until they begin to turn golden and soften. Add a few tablespoons of water and cook until evaporated. Add 1 tablespoon of vinegar and stir to avoid sticking. Add the remaining water and cook until evaporated. Add the remaining vinegar, 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/2 teaspoon pepper. Cook until evaporated, stirring constantly. Turn off the heat and set aside. (The mixture should be soft and broken down, like a lumpy jam.)
  • To make the patties:
  • Divide the beef into 12 equal pieces and form into patties approximately 1/4 inch thick. Place the cheese cubes on the center of six of the patties and place the remaining patties on top. Pinch the sides to form a tight seal.
  • Grill the burgers over medium heat for 3-4 minutes. Turn the burgers over and cook an additional 3 minutes or until done.
  • Place the burgers on the roll with lettuce, if desired, and top with the jam. Place the top of the roll on the burger and serve immediately.

Stuffed Sausage Sliders

Provided by BHG Test Kitchen

Time 40m

Number Of Ingredients 19

1 small apple
2 tablespoon olive oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1.5 teaspoon cracked black pepper
1 teaspoon fennel seeds, crushed
0.75 teaspoon salt
0.25 teaspoon dried thyme or sage, crushed
0.125 teaspoon grated whole nutmeg
2 pound ground pork
0.5 cup shredded white cheddar cheese or smoked provolone cheese (2 to 3 ounces)
16 2 inch buns, rolls, or biscuits, sliced nearly in half
1 recipe Grilled Apple-Fennel Slaw
1 tart apple, peeled
1 small fennel bulb
2 tablespoon sherry vinegar or balsamic vinegar
1 tablespoon butter
1 teaspoon packed brown sugar
Dash salt
Dash cayenne pepper

Steps:

  • Peel and shred enough of the apple to measure 1/3 cup. In a large bowl combine the 1/3 cup apple, oil, garlic, pepper, fennel seeds, salt, thyme, and nutmeg. Add ground pork; mix well.
  • Shape a scant 1/4 cup pork mixture into a ball and use your finger to make a deep indentation in top. Fill indentation with 1 to 2 teaspoons cheese; press pork mixture to enclose filling. Reshape pork mixture into a ball and flatten into a 2 1/2-inch-diameter patty. Place on a baking sheet. Repeat with remaining pork mixture and cheese. Cover and chill for 1 to 4 hours.
  • For a charcoal grill, grill patties on the rack of a covered grill directly over medium coals for 10 to 12 minutes or until done (160°F), turning once halfway through grilling. (For a gas grill, preheat grill. Reduce heat to medium. Place patties on grill rack over heat. Cover and grill as above.)
  • Serve burgers in buns topped with Grilled Apple-Fennel Slaw. Grilled Apple-Fennel Slaw
  • Fold a 36x18-inch sheet of heavy foil in half to make an 18-inch square. Coarsely shred apple and cut fennel into thin, bite-size strips. Place apple and fennel in the center of foil; top with vinegar, butter, brown sugar, salt, and cayenne pepper. Bring up two opposite edges of foil and seal with a double fold. Fold remaining ends to completely enclose apple mixture, leaving space for steam to build. Grill apple packet alongside patties for 10 to 12 minutes or until fennel is tender.

CHEDDAR STUFFED SLIDERS

Categories     Lunch/Snacks

Time 22m

Yield 4 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 4

1 lb ground beef, lean
4 ounces cheddar cheese, cubed into 8 pieces
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper

Steps:

  • Mix together the beef, salt, salt and pepper. Shape into 8-2 ounce balls.
  • Fill each ball with a cube of cheddar cheese.
  • Shape each burger ball into a small slider burger shape.
  • At this point you can freeze in a resealable freezer proof bag or cook.
  • I like to cook in the broiler for a few minutes to the desired doneness as the sliders are so small on the grill grates. You can also cook in a toaster oven if you are doing just a few as a quick after school snack.
  • My kid likes to eat these without bread and dipped in ketchup with a side of dill pickles. You can use hot dog rolls cut into pieces to make mini cheeseburgers.

STUFFED SLIDERS YOUR WAY

Stuffed Sliders Your Way image

Treat this recipe as a basic template from which to have a blast mixing and matching different meats with different cheeses. The Parmesan is a must and not an option to switch out; it's the magic ingredient that will make the meat more savory and any cheese you stuff in your slider taste cheesier. The recipe can be halved or doubled easily, so if there are a lot of kids in your crowd, you might want to cut back on the number you make. If a bunch of your drinking buddies are on their way over, however, you'll likely want to do 1 1/2 times the recipe, or even double it. We've given you suggestions for toppers and meat-and-cheese combinations, but those are just ideas to get your imagination going. If the weather is cooperative, fire up your grill, but if you are grill-less, the broiler does a fine job. Any which way you do it, you can't help but have fun!

Yield Makes about 30 (2-inch) sliders

Number Of Ingredients 10

Burgers:
3 pounds ground beef, turkey, lamb, or pork
2 large eggs, lightly beaten
2/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley (or other fresh herbs; see Cooks' Notes)
2 small garlic cloves, crushed with a garlic press
6 ounces Cheddar, feta, Saga blue cheese, Gouda, Pepper Jack, or whatever cheese you're partial to, chilled and cut into 1/2-inch cubes
30 (2-inch; a.k.a. party size) soft rolls, such as potato and brioche, or mini pitas
Toppers:
lettuce, sliced tomatoes, coleslaw, pickles, sliced raw onion and/or sautéed golden brown onions (see Cooks' Notes), ketchup, barbecue sauce, and garlic yogurt sauce (see Cooks' Notes)

Steps:

  • Gently combine meat, eggs, cheese, parsley, garlic, 1 teaspoon salt and 1/2 teaspoon pepper with your hands. (Do not overmix).
  • Form scant 1/4 cupfuls of meat mixture into about 30 meatballs. Push a cheese cube into center of each ball and encase meat around cheese, then slightly flatten each ball to a 2-inch diameter.
  • Broiler directions:
  • Preheat broiler. Put half of sliders on an oiled rack of a broiler pan and broil, turning over once, until just cooked through (no longer pink), 4 to 8 minutes total. Repeat with remaining sliders.
  • Grill directions:
  • For easy entertaining, go with a gas grill. Preheat all burners on high, covered, 10 minutes, then adjust heat to medium-high. Grill sliders, in batches if necessary, turning once, until just cooked through, 4 to 8 minutes total.
  • Make sliders with toppings and rolls.

  • In a small bowl, combine all of the ingredients for the jalapeño relish. Cover and refrigerate until ready to use.
  • In a small bowl, combine the crumbled bacon and grated cheese. Use your hands to form the bacon and cheese mixture into 14 small balls. They’ll be very coarse balls, but the heat from your hands will help them stick together.
  • Place the ground beef salt and black pepper in a medium bowl. Mix until just combined. (Just use your hands, people.)
  • Now it’s time to make your slider patties. Divide the beef into 14 balls (each should be about a heaping tablespoon.) Flatten each ball into a pancake about a ¼-inch thick. Place one of the bacon-cheese balls in the center of the beef. Gently fold the beef around the cheese, making sure it’s completely sealed within the beef, and flatten the patty slightly. (Each patty should be 1¾-inches in diameter.)
