- Combine water and sugar in a saucepan over medium-high heat; stir until sugar is dissolved. Mix strawberries into saucepan and bring to a boil; boil for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer until strawberries are mushy and sauce is thick, about 10 minutes. Strain liquid into a bottle and refrigerate.

I got this out of an old fashioned cookbook from my Great Grandmother, and the description says; "Flummer, Fool, Grunt, Slump, and Buckle were variations of old English puddings made with fruit. Steps:
- In a medium sauce pan mix water with sugar and lemon juice.
- Bring to a boil.
- Add strawberries. Cover, reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes.
- In a mixing bowl combine flour, the 4 Tbsps. sugar, baking soda, and salt.
- Cut in butter with a pastry blender.
- Stir in sour milk with a fork till ingredients are just moistened. Drop by teaspoonfull into the simmering strawberry liquid.
- Cover and let simmer about 12 minutes. (Do NOT lift cover.)
- Serve wit thick cream or ice cream.

- Rinse strawberries with cool water to clean and then pat dry to absorb excess water. Remove strawberry stems and set aside 12 for later use.
- In a large bowl, combine remaining strawberries, whipped topping, nutmeg, cinnamon, vanilla and sugar. With an electric mixer, mix on low speed for 5 to 7 minutes or until sugar has dissolved completely and mixture is smooth. Add sour cream and mix 1 minute. Place in refrigerator to chill.

- In a large jar that closes tight add the sliced strawberries and cover with the vodka. (stir to combine). Place in a dark cupboard or closet for 20 days, twirl the jar to mix every 2 days.
- After the 20 days has passed make the syrup, in a medium pot add the sugar and water over medium heat bring to a boil, stirring often, lower heat and cook for 8-10 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool completely.
- Strain the alcohol from the strawberries into a clean jar or bottle with a tight fitting lid. Add the cooled syrup and stir to combine. Close the jar and refrigerate for 2 days before serving. Can also be stored in the freezer.
- After the 20 days has passed make the cream syrup, in a medium pot add the sugar, milk and cream, stir to combine, bring the mixture to a boil, lower heat and simmer 1 minute, then remove from heat and let cool completely.
- Strain the alcohol from the strawberries into a clean jar or bottle with a tight fitting lid. Add the cooled cream mixture and stir to combine. Close the jar and refrigerate for 1 day before serving. Enjoy!
