Steps:
- Rub a baking dish approx 8in x 4in (20cm x 10cm) with butter to lightly grease it.
- Chop bread into small chunks and put them in the dish. (You can also use bigger chunks, if you prefer.)
- Mix together the eggs, milk, cream, vanilla and cinnamon and pour over the bread. Toss any pieces that aren't covered in the custard so all can absorb some. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Alternatively, make it up shortly before baking - you may need to toss a little more to ensure all are covered, just take care not to break the bread up too much.
- When ready to bake, preheat oven to 400F/200C.
- Remove the top from the strawberries and cut into quarters. Tuck the slices in between the bread. Sprinkle the sugar over the top.
- Bake for around 25 minutes until it's lightly brown and crisp on the top and soft but cooked underneath.

Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease or spray a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
- Slice the bread into 16 slices using a sharp knife. Save the ends to use in another dish, or discard. Arrange the bread slices in the prepared baking pan. Tuck strawberry slices between and around the bread.
- Whisk eggs, milk, cream, sugar, lemon zest, almond extract, and salt together until well combined.
- Pour the egg mixture over the bread slices. Press down on the top of the bread to help the egg absorb; it's okay if a little is in the bottom of the pan. Let stand for 15 to 20 minutes.
- Bake in the center of the preheated oven until the bread is firm when gently pressed and the top is crispy and golden, 45 to 55 minutes.

CRèME BRûLéE FRENCH TOAST RECIPE BY TASTY
Here's what you need: heavy cream, sugar, cinnamon, large egg yolks, vanilla extract, brioche bread, strawberry, whipped cream
Provided by Claire Nolan

Steps:
- Pour the heavy cream into a 9x13-inch (23x33 cm) baking dish.
- Mix 1 cup of sugar (200 g) and the cinnamon in a small bowl and add to the cream, followed by the egg yolks and vanilla. Whisk well to combine.
- Dip each slice of bread into the cream mixture, coating both sides well. Place the dipped bread on the wire rack set over the baking sheet. Bake for 15 minutes, flip the bread over, then bake for another 15 minutes, until slightly crispy.
- Slice the strawberries into decorative shapes of your choosing. For a strawberry rose, place a strawberry stem side down and carefully make thin slices around the outer edge of the strawberry, making sure not to cut all the way through. Continue cutting and rotating the strawberry until you get to the center. Fan out the "petals".
- Preheat the oven to 350˚F (180˚C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set a wire rack on top.
- For a strawberry fan, lay a strawberry on its flattest side. Tilt the knife at a 45˚ angle and make thin, angled slices through the strawberry, keeping the top of the strawberry connected and slicing all the way through the bottom of the berry. Fan out the slices.
- Sprinkle the remaining sugar on top of the bread and broil on high for 3 minutes, until the sugar has melted and browned, or carefully use a kitchen torch to brûlée the sugar.
- Top with whipped cream and strawberries and serve.
- Enjoy!

- Make streusel: Combine flour and sugar in a medium bowl. Cut in cold butter until coarse crumbs form (there should be no dry flour left - I just use clean fingertips to "rub" butter into flour/sugar). Cover and refrigerate until ready to use.
- Make egg mixture: Whisk eggs, milk, cinnamon, sweetener and vanilla together in a measuring cup.
- Layer casserole: Place ½ of bread in a greased 9x13 inch casserole dish. Top with cream cheese and ⅓ of strawberries. Pour over ⅓ of egg mixture. Top with remaining bread, strawberries and egg mixture, making sure all bread cubes are covered in egg mixture.

- Preheat your oven to 350F and oil a 9 x 13 baking dish. Place your cubed bread and chopped strawberries into the baking dish.
- Blend the non-dairy milk, cashew butter, salt, cinnamon, syrup or dates, and flax meal in a blender till smooth. Pour the this mixture over the bread and berries. Allow the bread to soak up the liquid for at least 30 minutes. You can also prep the casserole the night before breakfast, cover it, and let it sit in the fridge overnight.
- Bake the casserole for 45-55 minutes, or until the top is golden and the bread cubes are getting a little brown and crispy at the edges. (Check the casserole at 35 minutes, and if it's browning too quickly, you can cover it with foil and continue baking for 15 more minutes or so.) Allow the casserole to cool for at least 15-20 minutes before serving.
