HONEY LIME AND YOGURT FACIAL CLEANSER
This cleanser leaves your skin soft and smooth feeling, and it's a lot cheaper than buying cleanser at the store. You can add some essential oils, if you want. This needs to be refrigerated-the recipe makes about 1 weeks worth for me.

HEALING LOTION BUTTERS WITH EMU
This healing lotion is wonderful on the skin....used on a regular base, your skin will love you. I love Emu oil for its healing components, but it is quite a pricy oil. Because this lotion is a butter, a little goes a long way. Use on your feet and wrap them up in plastic for the oil to absorb into the feet. Perfect on hands, lips....any where extra attention is needed. I found it a little to heavy on the face in the summer....but have used it in the winter time when the weather changes and you need that extra moisture. My nose cracks and dries during allergy season and in the wintertime...so using this lotion has been the perfect solution. Some other carrier and exotic oils can be exchanged for what is listed...it will still solidify in the tube, it will just have a different component to it!

Steps:
- Before starting, make sure your work station is as clean as possible. Have clean utensils and pots -- the tubes you are putting your product in have been cleaned. You want to keep your finished product to stay as sterile as possible.
- Combine all the ingredients and heat until just melted, roughly 3 - 4 minutes. Do not let the mixture come to a boil. Pour into 4 deodoant containers.
- Let stand, undisturbed until the butters and oils solidify. When the lotion has solidified, there will be a "well" in the middle of the tube. Take a knife and smooth the edges down for a nicer look.
- This recipe could be cut into half or into fourths so that you only have 1 or 2 deordorant tubes. You don't need exact measurements, like you do with cooking. Use the ingredients as a rough estimate but make sure that you add a bit more of the Emu oil so that you get enough of its healing properties.
- Vitamin E has it's own healing properties, but it is used here as a preservative. With any home products, there is a shelf life of roughly 2 years. I date my sticks -- but I have usually used it up by then!
- Caution: These butters do not have the heavy preservatives that the commercial products have. With any home product that is "applied" to the skin, keep in mind about how clean your skin is and who is going to use it. Beware that if you pass your lotion around you could possible contaminate your stick. The cleaner the enviroment it is going to be used in the longer the shelf life it is going to have. If you are going to share your lotion, use a knife to "skim" some lotion off. Just some "food for thought"!

HOMEMADE LOTION
You can jazz this recipe up several ways. Use an herbal tea instead of water (calendula is great for skin!), or an herb oil (like peppermint) instead of regular oil. Add optional oils AFTER the lotion has emulsified or it may not emulsify properly. Great oils to use would be almond, olive, grapeseed, or a mixture of any. Don't use vegetable oil. Tea tree oil and vitamin E oil will help keep the lotion from going bad. Keep this lotion in the fridge and warm it up in your hands before using. Great for baby massages (I massaged my wee one with almond oil and water lotion when he was younger), and also very nourishing for people who have to wash their hands a lot.

Steps:
- Place water, oil, and lecithin in a blender (the magic bullet works really well for this recipe). Turn on the highest setting until it thickens into a lotion.
- Spoon mixture into a bowl that has a lid, and add other optional ingredients at this point. Add as much or as little as you like.
- For a great scar lotion, add lots of vitamin E oil.
- But beware, this makes a lot of lotion, so split this recipe in half if you don't intend to use it up in time.
- Put on the lid and keep this lotion in the fridge. It will warm up in your hands very quickly when you're ready to use it.
