This is without a doubt the best punch I've ever had! Makes enough for 2 punch bowls. This is our Christmas Eve punch tradition, and there is never a drop left!

Steps:
- Bring the sugar, water, and strawberry flavored gelatin to a boil in a large saucepan; boil for 3 minutes. Stir in the pineapple juice, lemon juice, and orange juice. Divide mixture into 2 separate containers and freeze.
- Combine the contents of 1 container with 1 bottle of the lemon-lime flavored carbonated beverage in a punch bowl; stir until slushy. Repeat with remaining portions as needed.

- Hull 2 pints of fresh strawberries. Puree about half of them and measure out 1 cup (236 ml) of puree. Slice the remaining strawberries and measure out 1 cup (140g).
- Toss the sliced strawberries with 2 teaspoons of lemon juice, 1/4 teaspoon of sugar, and 1/8 teaspoon of salt. Let them stand for at least 10 minutes (preferably 30 minutes if you have the time) to bring out the berries' sweetness and flavor.
- Meanwhile, zest and juice the lemon, then juice the limes. Stir together the lemon, lime, and orange juices and the puree until blended.
- Once the sliced strawberries are macerated, lightly crush them with a muddler or the handle end of a wooden spoon. This releases more juices from the berries. Stir the muddled strawberries into the citrus juice mixture and chill until ready to serve.
- Pour 1/3 cup of the strawberry citrus juice into a cocktail shaker or large glass. Gently stir in 2 tablespoons of simple syrup, 1 tablespoon of grenadine, and 1/3 cup of sparkling water until well blended.
- Use a funnel to pour the mixture into a 7 ounce champagne flute. If desired, garnish with fresh rose petals that have been rinsed and patted dry. Serve immediately.
