Morton's Steakhouse Marinade - recipe from the famous steakhouse. Garlic, thyme, cayenne pepper, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, oil, lime juice, salt, and pepper. This makes THE BEST steaks EVER! I cleaned my plate, and I never do that! Seriously, the best steak I've ever eaten - better than any restaurant!

6 garlic cloves, (finely minced)
1 tsp dried whole thyme
¼ tsp cayenne pepper
½ cup soy sauce
¼ cup Worcestershire sauce
2 Tbsp vegetable oil
⅓ cup lime juice
2 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
steaks of your choice

Steps:

  • Combine all ingredients in a bowl. Place meat in a gallon ziplock bag, add marinade, refrigerate for 2-3 hours.
  • Remove from refrigerator one hour prior to grilling.

This is a family recipe that has been developed only over the last 5 years. In this short time it's made me famous in our close circle, but until now I've never shared it with anyone.

⅓ cup soy sauce
½ cup olive oil
⅓ cup fresh lemon juice
¼ cup Worcestershire sauce
1 ½ tablespoons garlic powder
3 tablespoons dried basil
1 ½ tablespoons dried parsley flakes
1 teaspoon ground white pepper
¼ teaspoon hot pepper sauce
1 teaspoon dried minced garlic

Steps:

  • Place the soy sauce, olive oil, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, basil, parsley, and pepper in a blender. Add hot pepper sauce and garlic, if desired. Blend on high speed for 30 seconds until thoroughly mixed.
  • Pour marinade over desired type of meat. Cover, and refrigerate for up to 8 hours. Cook meat as desired.

12 ounces sparkling apple cider
1/2 cup vegetable oil
6 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon dry mustard
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon paprika
1/2 tablespoon black pepper
3/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon cayenne
1 teaspoon hot pepper sauce, to taste
1 lemon, juice of
1 teaspoon salt
4 teaspoons coarsely crushed peppercorns

Steps:

  • Cut several small slits in 2 lbs.
  • of steaks (choose New York strip, sirloin, T-bone, porterhouse or Delmonico steaks), sliced 1 1/2" thick.
  • Mix marinade and pour over steaks, place in refrigerator 1 to 2 hours.
  • Drain marinade.
  • Press crushed peppercorns into both sides of steaks.
  • Oil broiler pan lightly with nonstick cooking spray, then preheat pan under broiler.
  • Sear steaks in hot broiler pan, flip to quickly brown other side.
  • For medium steaks, broil eight minutes each side on top rack.
