HALLOWEEN BLOODY MARY SHOOTERS



Halloween Bloody Mary Shooters image

Homemade Bloody Mary mix is topped with a layer of black vodka in these spooky shooters. They're just the thing for getting a Halloween party started.

Number Of Ingredients 12

3 stalks celery, cut into 2-inch pieces
6 cups tomato juice
1/4 cup fresh lemon juice (from 2 to 3 lemons)
3 tablespoons lightly packed grated peeled fresh horseradish
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon celery salt
1 to 2 teaspoons hot sauce, such as Tabasco
Freshly ground pepper
Black lava salt and coarsely ground black pepper, for rim
1 lemon wedge
2 ounces black vodka, such as Blavod
2 small stalks celery, for garnish

Steps:

  • Bloody Mary Mix: Pulse celery in a food processor until finely chopped. Add 2 cups tomato juice and puree until smooth. Transfer to a pitcher and stir in remaining 4 cups tomato juice, lemon juice, horseradish, Worcestershire, celery salt, hot sauce, and pepper. Cover and refrigerate at least 12 hours and up to 2 days.
  • Shooters: Stir together equal parts salt and pepper on a small plate. Rub lemon wedge around the rims of two double shot (3-ounce) glasses. Dip rims into salt and pepper mixture.
  • Pour 2 ounces Bloody Mary mix into bottom of each glass (reserve remaining Bloody Mary mix for another use). Holding a spoon upside down over the top of the glass, slowly pour 1 ounce vodka over spoon into each glass (vodka should sit on top of Bloody Mary mix and create a layer of black). Garnish with celery.

A quart of your favorite bloody mary mix, homemade or bottled (should be around 32 ounces)
2 cups (16oz) of vodka

Steps:

  • Pour Bloody Mary Mix into a bowl or shaker
  • Add the vodka to the mix
  • Shake well
  • Fill each 2 oz syringe with the bloody mary elixir

  • Hellraiser. 1 part melon liqueur. 1 part black sambuca. 1 part strawberry liqueur. Directions. Pour all ingredients into a shaker. Shake with ice. Strain into shot glasses.
  • Hemorrhaging Brain. 2 parts strawberry liqueur. 1 part Irish cream liqueur. Splash of grenadine. Directions. Shake all but Grenadine with ice. Strain into shot glasses.
  • Toxic Refuse. 1 part vodka. 1 part triple sec. 1 part Midori. Splash of lime juice. Directions. Pour all ingredients into a shaker. Shake. Pour over ice.
  • Peach Death. 1 part vodka. 1 part peach schnapps. 1 part amaretto. Directions. Pour all ingredients into a shaker. Shake with ice. Strain into shot glasses.
  • Ghostbuster. 1 part vodka. 1 part melon liqueur. 1 part pineapple juice. 1 part orange juice. Directions. Pour all ingredients into a shaker. Shake with ice.
  • Green Spider. 1 part vodka. 1 part green creme de menthe. Directions. Pour both ingredients into a shaker. Shake with ice. Strain into shot glasses.
  • Hell Shot. 1 oz. Jose Cuervo tequila. 1/2 oz. Tabasco sauce. Dash of Everclear. Slice of jalapeño pepper. Directions. Layer Tabasco and tequila in a large shot glass.
