2 ounces unsweetened chocolate, (melted and cooled (can use the Baker's or Ghirardelli 1-ounce squares))
⅓ cup heavy whipping cream
½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, (softened)
4 tablespoons granulated Splenda ((6 of the little packets))
1 teaspoon unsweetened cocoa powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
½ teaspoon chocolate extract ((optional))

Steps:

  • Melt the chocolate over low heat and then pour into a mixer bowl, let cool slightly.
  • Slowly whisk the cream into the cooled, melted chocolate. Using an electric mixer, beat on medium speed and add the butter, Splenda, cocoa powder, and extracts. Beat until smooth and fluffy.
  • The frosting at this point will be quite thin and easy to spread. If you wish to pipe it on in a decorative pattern, place it in the refrigerator for 20 to 30 minutes to thicken it up a bit before putting into a piping bag.

All the glaze recipes i found called for icing sugar or fat or loads of calories. In utter frustration I took my Recipe #241843 #241843, played with it and made a glaze that was yummy and oh so guilt free.

3 tablespoons cornstarch
3 tablespoons lemon juice
1 teaspoon lemon zest

Steps:

  • pulverize the splenda and the cornstarch in the blender or food processor.
  • In a small bowl whisk in lemon juice and zest til smooth. (you might want to add more cornstarch for a thicker glaze, I haven't tried it yet.wanted these on lemon muffins fast :) ).
  • Use to glaze pound cakes, muffins, cupcakes and more. Particularly good when you poke holes with a toothpick into them and let it seep inches.

1 1/2 ounces sugar-free instant pudding mix
1 3/4 cups milk
8 ounces cream cheese
8 ounces frozen light whipped dessert topping, thawed

Steps:

  • Powdered Sugar Glaze: Preparation Time 10 minute Makes1/3 cup glaze. Mix together SPLENDA® Granular 1/4 cup, Cornstarch 5-6 teaspoons Water Place SPLENDA® and cornstarch in blender jar. Cover and blend until SPLENDA® is a very fine powder. Pour into a small bowl. Add water and stir well. This recipe makes a thick glaze. Add more water for a thinner glaze.
