I was inspired by another recipe that I changed to add more vegetables, ginger, and sesame oil. Add/remove veggies how you see fit.

1 (8 ounce) package linguine
⅓ cup low-sodium soy sauce
2 tablespoons rice vinegar
2 teaspoons cornstarch
1 teaspoon white sugar
½ teaspoon sesame oil
2 tablespoons canola oil
2 cups snap peas
1 small sweet onion, chopped
1 (12 ounce) pork tenderloin, cut into thin strips
1 (8 ounce) package sliced white mushrooms
1 red bell pepper, chopped
1 clove garlic, chopped
½ teaspoon chopped fresh ginger, or to taste
2 cloves garlic, chopped
3 green onions, sliced

Steps:

  • Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil; cook the linguine at a boil until tender yet firm to the bite, 8 to 9 minutes; drain.
  • Whisk soy sauce, vinegar, cornstarch, sugar, and sesame oil together in a small bowl.
  • Heat canola oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat; cook and stir snap peas and onion in the hot oil until onion is softened, about 2 minutes. Add pork, mushrooms, red bell pepper, 1 clove garlic, and ginger; cook until pork is no longer pink, about 2 minutes.
  • Mix 2 cloves garlic into the pork mixture; cook for 1 minute. Pour soy sauce mixture over pork mixture; cook and stir until sauce thickens, about 1 minute. Remove skillet from heat. Add linguine to the mixture; toss to coat. Sprinkle with green onions.

1 teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon ground ginger
¼ teaspoon dried thyme

2 (1 pound) pork tenderloins

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, mix together chili powder, salt, ginger, thyme, and black pepper. Rub spice mix into pork tenderloins. Place meat in a baking dish, cover, and refrigerator for 2 to 3 hours.
  • Preheat grill for medium heat.
  • Brush oil onto grill grate, and arrange meat on grill. Cook for 30 minutes, or to desired doneness, turning to cook evenly.

Inspired by Sichuan cuisine, this easy crispy pork noodles recipe with Chinese five spice is spicy, savory and the perfect comfort food for a weeknight dinner.

3 tbsp. natural peanut butter
2 tbsp. reduced-sodium soy sauce
2 to 3 Tbsp Szechuan chili oil
1 tbsp. fresh lime juice
2 tsp. honey
1/2 tsp. Chinese five-spice
1 tbsp. canola oil
8 oz. ground pork
12 oz. ramen or lo mein noodles
3 cloves garlic, grated
1 tbsp. grated fresh ginger
1 small red chile, thinly sliced
3 c. tatsoi or baby spinach
2 scallions, thinly sliced
1/4 c. roasted peanuts, finely chopped, for serving

Steps:

  • Make vinaigrette: In a bowl, combine peanut butter, soy sauce, chili oil, lime juice, honey and five-spice.
  • Heat canola oil in a large cast-iron skillet on medium-high. Add pork and cook, breaking up into tiny pieces, 4 minutes. Then cook, without stirring, 3 minutes. Turn and cook, stirring often, until crispy and browned, 3 to 4 minutes more.
  • Meanwhile, cook noodles per package directions. Drain, reserving 1/2 cup cooking liquid.
  • Toss garlic, ginger and red chile in pan with pork and cook 2 minutes. Remove from heat.
  • Whisk 1/4 cup reserved cooking liquid into bowl with vinaigrette, and toss in noodles to coat, adding more liquid as necessary. Then toss with tatsoi until beginning to wilt. Top with crispy pork and sprinkle with scallions and peanuts if desired.

Cantonese Pan Fried Noodles (Pork Lo Mein) - Our pan fried noodles AKA pork lo mein recipe is savory, slightly spicy, and packed with flavor. Made with fresh veggies and stir fried pork, it's a light and healthy dish that's easy to make in only 30 minutes!

10 ounces long thin egg noodles
1 pound pork loin
2 cups mung bean sprouts
1 1/2 cups shredded carrots
1 bunch scallions
1 tablespoons cornstarch
4 tablespoons dark soy sauce
1 1/2 tablespoons rice wine
1 1/2 tablespoons sesame oil
1 1/2 tablespoons oyster sauce
1-2 cloves garlic, (minced)
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper
2 1/2 tablespoons coconut oil (for cooking)

Steps:

  • Cut the pork loin into paper-thin pieces. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon soy sauce and 1 tablespoon cornstarch over the pork. Toss to coat. Cut the scallions into 1 1/2-inch sections, then slice into thin strips. In a small bowl mix the remaining soy sauce with the rice wine, sesame oil, oyster sauce, minced garlic and crushed red pepper. Whisk well.
  • Place a large pot of water over high heat and bring to a boil. Place a wok (or deep skillet) over medium-high heat. Add 1 tablespoon of coconut oil to the wok. Add the pork and stir fry for 2-3 minutes until just cooked through. Remove the pork and set aside.
  • Meanwhile drop the egg noodles into the boiling water and cook according to the package instructions, usually 2-3 minutes. Drain well.
  • Add the remaining 1 1/2 tablespoons coconut oil to the wok. Once hot, add the shredded carrots and scallions whites. Stir fry for one minute, then add the noodles to the wok and stir fry for 2 more minutes.
  • Add the pork and soy sauce mixture to the wok. Stir fry another 2-3 minutes. Then turn off the heat and mix in the scallions greens and mung bean sprouts. Serve warm.

This is something we make quite often at my house. My teenage sons love this! I usually double the recipe and triple the sauce. The great thing is you can make it as spicy as you would like...if you don't like it spicy, leave the chili puree out. I usually increase the chicken broth a little to cut the salt of the soy sauce. Cook time includes only 15 minutes of marinade time. Of course it will taste better if you marinate it longer.

2 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce
1 tablespoon dry sherry (optional)
1 tablespoon finely chopped garlic
1 teaspoon lime zest
1/2 lb pork tenderloin or 1/2 lb pork cutlet, cut into 1 inch strips
8 ounces uncooked dried flat wide chinese noodles, broken into 2 inch pieces (you can subsitute fettuccine, vermicelli or thin spaghetti)
2 teaspoons sesame oil
1/4 cup chicken broth
2 tablespoons soy sauce (low sodium)
2 tablespoons finely chopped cilantro
2 teaspoons sugar
2 teaspoons cornstarch
2 teaspoons chili-garlic sauce
1 cup diagonally sliced 1 inch green onion

Steps:

  • In a medium bowl stir together soy sauce, sherry, garlic and lime peel; toss with pork. Marinate in fridge for at least 15 minutes or up to 8 hours.
  • Cook noodles according to package directions. Rinse, drain and set aside.
  • In deep skillet or wok heat sesame oil; add pork. Cook over med high heat; stirring occasionally until cooked through (4-6 min). Remove from heat.
  • In small bowl whisk together all remaining ingredients (except onions). Stir into pork mixture. Add green onions; and cook until it comes to a boil (1-2 minutes).
  • Add noodles. Toss gently and continue to cook until heated through and noodles start to brown (3-5 minutes).

3 packages ramen noodles, (any flavor)
1/3 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
2 tablepsoons teriyaki sauce
1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 pound pork tenderloin, cut into thin slices
2 green onions, sliced
Sriracha sauce or chili garlic sauce for serving

Steps:

  • Discard ramen noodle seasoning and cook ramen noodles in boiling water for 3 minutes. Drain. Set aside.
  • In a bowl, stir together soy sauce, brown sugar, teriyaki sauce, and red pepper flakes.
  • Heat oil in a large nonstick skillet. Add pork tenderloin slices, and cook until browned.
  • Add the soy sauce mixture and continue to cook another 3 to 5 minutes.Add noodles and stir to coat in the sauce.
  • Sprinkle with green onions and serve.

1/2 tablespoon ginger
200 grams Button Mushroom (sliced)
6 cups Low Sodium Chicken Stock
1 cup Water
1/2 tablespoon Fish Sauce
1/2 tablespoon Soy Sauce
2 teaspoon White Miso Paste ((ref note 1))
2 packages Instant Ramen Noodles
4 Scallion (Sliced, white and green part separated.)
3-4 baby bok choy (sliced lengthwise)
200 grams Minced Pork
1 tablespoon Oil
1 tablespoon Soy Sauce
1 tablespoon Chinese Cooking Wine
1 teaspoon Sugar
1 teaspoon Chilli Garlic Paste ((ref note 2))
egg
toasted sesame seeds
carrot (cut into match sticks)
green onion

Steps:

  • Start with making the broth. In a deep soup pan/dutch oven, add oil.
  • When the oil is hot, add minced ginger and garlic. Saute until aromatic, for about 30 seconds.
  • Add sliced mushroom to the pan and cook it until it has softened.
  • Add stock and water to the pan.
  • Add soy sauce, fish sauce, miso. Mix well. Check the seasoning and add salt if required.
  • Simmer the broth and let it simmer for 5 minutes.
  • While the broth is simmering, start making spicy pork.
  • In a small bowl mix all the ingredients for Spicy pork, except pork.
  • Heat 2 teaspoons of oil in a pan. once hot add minced pork. Cook for 2 minutes.
  • Stir in the sauce to the pork. Cook for another 4-5 minutes until the sauce has reduced and the pork is cooked through.
  • Now switch to the soup broth. When it comes to a slow rolling boil add ramen noodles blocks and sliced bok choy.
  • Cook the ramen for 3 minutes. It is ok if the ramen is not cooked fully. The ramen will continue to cook even after the flame is off and will be fully cooked while serving.
