SPICY ASIAN SESAME PEANUTS WITH POPCORN
This spicy, salty, crunchy blend of chilies, peanuts and popcorn is one addictive snack.

- For the Asian sesame spice blend: Mix together the sesame seeds, sesame oil, soy sauce, ginger, five-spice powder, red pepper flakes and 1 1/2 teaspoons salt in a small bowl and set aside.
- For the nuts: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly oil a rimmed baking sheet with the oil.
- Put the egg white in a large bowl and whisk until frothy. Add the peanuts and toss to coat in the egg white. Add the spice blend and toss to coat.
- Spread the nut mixture evenly on the prepared baking sheet and bake, stirring occasionally, until golden brown, 15 to 20 minutes. Let cool on the baking sheet.
- For the assembly: Stir the popcorn and chilies into the peanuts and transfer to a large bowl.

Great recipe for those that like a kick in their popcorn. This recipe is made for an average sized bowl of popcorn. If you make a lot of popcorn, DOUBLE the amount of ingredients, because there won't be enough!

- Pop Popcorn and place in large bowl.
- Melt around 2-3 tbsp butter. (or soy "butter").
- Mix tabasco sauce in with the butter. (To taste, I like about a teaspoon or two.).
- Mix 1 tsp of paprika, 1 tsp of salt, 1 tsp of garlic powder, and 1 tsp pepper in small cup.
- Pour butter mixture on popcorn about one tablespoon at a time. After you pour the butter mixture on; sprinkle a bit of the seasoning mixture in, and voila!

- In a large, deep saucepan (but not a Dutch oven) set over high heat, warm the olive oil. Add the popcorn, cover, then gently shake the pot as the corn pops.
- When the pot is quiet, reduce the heat to medium-high and, working quickly, add the butter and then sprinkle the sugar little by little over the popcorn, stirring constantly with a very large spoon or heatproof spatula. (The sugar will melt and caramelize, coating the popcorn.) Move the pan off and on the heat to regulate the temperature, if necessary. You want the sugar to caramelize but not burn. Keep adding sugar and stirring until the popcorn is evenly coated with a medium-brown caramel. While continuing to stir, add the sesame seeds.
- Remove the pot from the heat and immediately sprinkle the red-pepper flakes and salt to taste over the popcorn, stirring and tossing continuously. Taste, then adjust the heat with additional red-pepper flakes, if desired.
