SPICY POTATOES WITH GARLIC AIOLI

Spicy Potatoes with Garlic Aioli image

This is my take on Spanish patatas bravas. The potatoes are tossed in a flavorful spice mix and then finished to a crispy golden brown. The garlic aioli takes it over the top for an unconventional potato salad that'll be a hit at any party. -John Stiver, Bowen Island, British Columbia

Number Of Ingredients 7

2 pounds small red potatoes, (halved and rinsed)
1/4 cup olive oil
1 onion, (chopped)
2 garlic cloves, (minced)
2 teaspoons smoked paprika
1 cup chicken broth
salt and pepper

  • Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add onion and cook for 5 minutes. Add garlic and 1 teaspoon paprika and cook for 30 seconds, stirring.
  • Add potatoes, chicken broth, and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Bring to boil.

garlic powder, salt, pepper, and cajun spice

CRISPY POTATOES WITH SPICY TOMATO SAUCE RECIPE | EATINGWELL
2022-02-02 This recipe is inspired by our love of the Spanish tapa Patatas Bravas--crispy bites of potatoes sometimes served with a spicy tomato sauce. If you're not in the mood for a spicy sauce, just add a tiny pinch of crushed red pepper or omit it altogether. The recipe makes lots of the zesty, lycopene-rich sauce--any leftover sauce will hold well for a few days.
