Ice cubes
1/2 cup tomato juice
1 dash Worcestershire sauce
1 dash hot sauce
Splash olive juice
1 (12-ounce) bottle ale style beer
Pimento stuffed olive, for garnish

Steps:

  • In a frosted beer mug filled with ice, combine tomato juice, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce and a splash of olive juice. Pour in cold beer. Garnish with olive.

This is one my favorites. . .can't believe it wasn't already on here! Quite popular in South Dakota for sure. It's best with Bud Light, Coors Light, Miller Light, Old Style, Natural Light. This is a super versatile recipe; drink it as is, add in a little olive juice (call it a poor man's martini), or add a dash or two of Tobasco.

2 ounces tomato juice (you may increase to 4 oz if you like yours a bit thicker as I do)
12 ounces beer
seasoning salt (may sub celery salt)
twist lime (optional)
olive (to garnish)

Steps:

  • Pour tomato juice followed by beer in a chilled mug.
  • Throw in a pinch of salt and a twist of lime (if using).
  • Garnish with olives and serve.

  • Stir the taco seasoning and salt together in a shallow bowl until combined. Run a slice of lime around the rim of two large (20-ounce or larger) serving glasses. One at a time, invert the glasses into the seasoned salt and wiggle around until the rim is well coated.
  • In a medium bowl, stir together the tomato juice, lime juice, hot sauce, and soy sauce. Divide the mixture between the two prepared glasses. Top each with 1 cup of ice.
  • Remove the caps from the beer bottles. In one swift motion, invert one of the bottles into a prepared glass, pushing it down towards the bottom. Repeat with second bottle and glass. Garnish with lime wheels and serve.
