No-Bake Chocolate-Oatmeal Drop Cookies image

No-bake, extremely delicious cookies you can put in the freezer and pull out when you have company. Great for the holidays!

½ cup milk
2 cups white sugar
½ cup butter
½ cup cocoa powder
3 cups quick oats
½ cup shredded coconut
½ cup peanut butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Steps:

  • Mix milk, sugar, butter, and cocoa powder in a large saucepan and bring to a rolling boil. Boil, stirring frequently, for about 1 minute. Remove from heat and add oats, coconut, peanut butter, and vanilla. Mix thoroughly.
  • Drop tablespoon-sized balls of cookie dough onto waxed paper and let cool in refrigerator for at least 1 hour.

2 cups white sugar
1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla (optional)
1/2 cup butter or 1/2 cup margarine
1/2 cup cocoa
1 cup coconut
3 cups oatmeal

Steps:

  • Heat sugar, milk, vanilla, cocoa and butter to boil.
  • Boil for 3 minutes only (use a timer).
  • Take pot off stove.
  • Mix in remaining ingredients.
  • Drop by spoonful onto ungreased waxed paper.
  • Let cool before eating.
  • Makes 4 dozen.

2 Tablespoons butter
2 cups chocolate chips

Steps:

  • Line a 8x8 or 9x9 baking dish with either wax paper or parchment paper. Mix the 4 ingredients in a microwave safe bowl and heat on high for 2 minutes. Do not overheat, it tends to scorch. Stir until melted.
  • Pour into the pan, it will be thick, so you have to spread it out.
  • Place in refrigerator for about 20 to 30 minutes. Cut and enjoy.

A really fast candy for that chocolate fix that we all want every now and then. I am not sure where this originated from but I have made it for several years. Number of servings estimated as depends on size.

1 cup chocolate chips
3/4 cup chunky peanut butter
1/4 cup chopped peanuts (or whatever kind you like)
1/4 cup crisp rice cereal

Steps:

  • Microwave the chocolate chips and peanut butter on high for 1 minute.
  • Stir and continue to heat at 30 second intervals until completely melted.
  • Stir in peanuts and cereal.
  • Drop onto cookie sheets lined with waxed paper and place in freezer.
  • Freeze for about 1 hour or until firm.
  • Remove from pans and place in plastic storage containers. Keep refrigerated until ready to serve as they do melt quickly.
  • This recipe is forgiving so you can easily change up the flavour of chocolate chips and nuts.

The chocolaty candies couldn't be easier to make in the slow cooker and, depending on the size of your spoon, you can get dozens of candies from one batch. 4 ounces German sweet chocolate, chopped
1 package (12 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips
4 packages (10 to 12 ounces each) white baking chips
2 jars (16 ounces each) lightly salted dry roasted peanuts

Steps:

  • In a 6-qt. slow cooker, layer ingredients in order listed (do not stir). Cover and cook on low for 1-1/2 hours. Stir to combine. (If chocolate is not melted, cover and cook 15 minutes longer; stir. Repeat in 15-minute increments until chocolate is melted.), Drop mixture by rounded tablespoonfuls onto waxed paper. Let stand until set. Store in an airtight container at room temperature.

1 c salted pecan pieces
12 oz peanut butter chips
6 oz chocolate chips

Steps:

  • 1. In a bowl stir cereal and pecans.Mix well. Place peanut butter and chocolate morcels in a small bowl to microwave. Heat on high for 2 minutes, stirring halfway through cooking. After cooking, stir morcels until smooth.Pour over cerael and pecans. Mix well. Drop by rounded tablespoons onto cookie sheet lined with wax paper. Chill until set, approximately 15 minutes. Store at room tempature.
