Lots of crispy bacon is tossed with hot, buttered noodles, whipped egg and cream, and a generous measure of Parmesan cheese to make this delicious classic. Stir until the heat of the pasta cooks the eggs, then serve with parsley and ground pepper.

½ pound bacon, cut into small pieces
4 eggs, room temperature
¼ cup heavy cream at room temperature
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
16 ounces dry fettuccine pasta
¼ cup butter, softened
¼ cup chopped parsley
ground black pepper to taste

Steps:

  • Cook bacon until crisp. Drain on paper towels.
  • In medium bowl beat together eggs and cream just until blended. Stir in cheese and set aside.
  • Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and return to pan. Toss with butter until it is melted. Add bacon and cheese mixture and toss gently until mixed.

This pasta is a no brainer, simple and quick. Also, very filling served with a few warm slices of texas garlic bread and a side salad....deliciossso!!!

2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons of finely chopped chives
6 slices turkey bacon, chopped
1 cup light light cream
1 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon freshly grind black pepper
1 teaspoon salt
1 (16 ounce) package spaghetti, pre-cooked in enough hot water with salt
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
6 -8 fresh basil leaves

Steps:

  • Prepared pasta according to package, drain.
  • In large skillet heat olive oil and butter.
  • Add chives, bacon, cream and parmessan cheese.
  • Constantly whisk until cheese is well mix with the cream.
  • Season with salt and freshly grind black pepper, let it simmer for a few minutes.
  • Place pasta on serving platter and top with bacon carbonara sauce.
  • Add some ground black pepper and decorate with fresh basil leaves.
