We were lucky to buy a beautiful piece of the freshest salmon I have ever eaten while on holidays. This is how we ate it!

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 200c degrees.
- Cut salmon into 2 steaks.
- Rub salmon steak with oil, and season with salt and pepper.
- Place skin side down on a baking sheet and cook in pre-heated oven about 10 minutes or until done to your liking-I like mine quite rare.
- Meanwhile, mix the remaining ingredients together for a sauce and serve alongside the cooked salmon steak.

Give your grilled salmon a touch of Asian flair with a soy marinade. This fish dish pairs perfectly with our easy Wasabi Mayonnaise. Use it as a dip or spread it right on the salmon before serving.

- To prepare marinade, combine soy sauce, lemon juice, oil, sugar and garlic in a heavy zip-lock plastic bag. Add salmon and squeeze bag to coat salmon with marinade; seal bag. Let stand for 30 minutes.
- Preheat natural gas barbecue on medium heat for 10 - 15 minutes.
- Remove salmon from marinade; discard marinade. Place salmon, skin side down, on a piece of heavy-duty foil. Trim foil so it is slightly larger than fillet.
- With lid down, cook salmon until fish flakes easily with a fork, about 10 - 12 minutes per inch of thickness. Serve with Wasabi Mayonnaise.

WW HONEY-GLAZED SALMON WITH WASABI - 4 POINTS
This is out of the "Take-out-tonight" WW cookbook. It says you can use salmon steaks with this dish. Great served with a refreshing cucumber salad. It's easy to prepare, requires virtually no chopping and is ready in less than 20 minutes. Zaar would not accept Mirin (1st ingredient) so posted it in parentheses.

Steps:
- To make the sauce, bring the mirin, vinegar, soy sauce, honey, ginger, and wasabi to boil in a small saucepan.
- Cook, stirring occasionally, over medium-high heat until the flavors are blended and the sauce is thickened, about 5 minutes.
- Remove from the heat; cover and keep warm.
- Meanwhile, sprinkle the salmon with the salt and the pepper.
- Spray a large nonstick skillet with nonstick spray and set over high heat.
- Add the salmon and cook, turning once, until the fish is browned on the outside and opaque in the center, about 4 minutes on each side.
- Spoon the sauce over the salmon.
- Sprinkle with the scallions.
- Serve at once.

- Combine soy sauce, wasabi, and sesame oil in a plastic bag or bowl and add fish. Marinate for at least 5 minutes or more, turning occasionally to coat.
- Remove fish and keep leftover marinade.

- Add remaining marinade and cook for another 2 minutes or until done.

- Mix all the ingredients for wasabi mayonnaise and place in refrigerator. The longer the better.
- Mix or whisk all the marinade ingredients and pour in a large sealable bag over the salmon (I like to use the 1 gallon freezer bags).
- Rotate the bag a few times (make sure the bag is closed) to make sure marinade gets all over all of the pieces of salmon.
- Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes (salmon can handle a little longer if you wish, but I wouldn't go over 2 hours).
- Grill on high heat for 4 to 5 minutes on each side, or until done. Internal temperature should be 140 degrees.
- Serve with wasabi mayonnaise.

- Place salmon in an ungreased 8-in. square baking dish. In a small bowl, combine the lime juice, brown sugar, butter, Soy Sauce Substitute, parsley, garlic powder and pepper; pour over fillets. Top with lime slices. , Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 20-23 minutes or until fish flakes easily with a fork. Remove salmon and keep warm. Pour pan juices into a small saucepan; bring to a boil. In a small bowl, combine cornstarch and water until smooth; stir into pan. Return to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. Serve with salmon.
