3 cloves garlic (minced)
salt and pepper
1/2 head cabbage (chopped)
1 can diced tomatoes (28 ounce)
2 stalks celery (chopped)
2 carrots (chopped)
1 can kidney beans, drained (16 ounce)
3 1/2 cups Kitchen Basics Beef Stock
1 Tablespoon McCormick Italian Seasoning

Steps:

  • In a large pot or dutch oven, add the ground beef and brown. Add the garlic, and salt and pepper to taste. Add chopped cabbage, diced tomatoes, celery, carrots, kidney beans, broth, and Italian seasoning.
  • Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and let simmer for an hour. Garnish with parsley if desired.

1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon pepper
2 celery ribs, chopped
1 can (16 ounces) kidney beans, rinsed and drained
1/2 medium head cabbage, chopped
1 can (28 ounces) diced tomatoes, undrained
3-1/2 cups water
4 teaspoons beef bouillon granules
Minced fresh parsley

Steps:

  • In a Dutch oven, cook beef over medium heat until no longer pink, breaking it into crumbles; drain. Stir in the remaining ingredients except parsley. , Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 1 hour. Garnish with parsley.

1 bag(s) red kidney beans, soaked and drained
1 lb ground beef, browned and drained
1/2 lb ground sausage, browned and drained
1 medium onion, chopped
1 medium bell pepper, chopped
3 stalk(s) celery, chopped
3 clove garlic, chopped
1 medium cabbage, chopped
28 oz can of chopped tomatoes
10 oz Rotel tomatoes
8 oz tomato sauce
4 oz tomato paste
salt and pepper, to taste
seasonings of choice (basil, oregano, etc)

Steps:

  • 1. Rinse beans and pick out any broken or bad beans. Soak the beans for two hours and drain.
  • 2. Cook the beans until almost done according to the package.
  • 3. Brown the ground beef and sausage and drain.
  • 4. Add the onion, bell pepper, celery, and garlic and cook about 10 minutes.
  • 5. Add this and your cans of tomatoes to the bean pot.
  • 6. Season to your personal taste.
  • 7. Cook about an hour longer. When beans are tender, mash some of the beans along the sides of the pot to get a thicker soup.
  • 8. Add the chopped cabbage and simmer twenty more minutes. Serve warm with fresh toasted homemade croutons!

2 tablespoons olive oil
1 lb. rib eye steak (cut into 1-inch pieces (trimmed of visible fat))
1 large onion (chopped)
1 stalk celery (chopped)
2 large carrots (peeled, diced)
1 small green cabbage (chopped into bite-sized pieces)
4 cloves garlic minced
4 cups beef stock
14 oz diced tomatoes ((1 can))
3 tablespoons fresh chopped parsley (plus more to serve)
2 teaspoon dried thyme
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoons onion powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt and freshly-cracked black pepper to taste

Steps:

  • Heat oil in a large pot (I used dutch oven) over medium-heat, add the beef and sear one all sides until browned, about 6 minutes (3 on each side). Add the onions and cook until transparent, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Add the celery and carrots to the pan, mixing through the flavours in the pot. Cook while mixing occasionally for about 4-5 minutes, then add the cabbage and cook for a further 5 minutes until beginning to soften; add in the garlic, and cook until fragrant (about 1 minute), mixing all ingredients through.
  • Add the stock, diced tomatoes, parsley, dried thyme and basil, onion and garlic powders. Mix well and bring to a simmering point; reduce heat to medium-low and cover with a lid.
  • Simmer for 10-15 minutes, or until the cabbage and carrots are soft. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Serve with chopped fresh parsley.

1 beef roast (1-1/2 pounds)
1 to 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 onion, chopped
1 pound carrots, sliced
3 celery ribs, chopped
4 tomatoes, peeled and cut into wedges

1 teaspoon dill seed
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
2 pounds cabbage, shredded
1 pound sauerkraut, rinsed and drained

Steps:

  • In a large kettle, brown met in oil on both sides. Add onion, carrots, celery, tomatoes, salt, pepper, dill seed, parsley and enough water to cover. Cook, covered, about 2 hours. In a large skillet, saute cabbage, sauerkraut and garlic in butter until cabbage is wilted. Add cabbage mixture to meat. Simmer, covered, 1-1/2 hours. 2 teaspoons olive oil, divided
1 medium onion, diced
2 garlic cloves, minced (or 2 teaspoon garlic powder)
1 large carrot, diced
1 medium potato, cut into bite-sized pieces
1/2 medium green cabbage (about 3 cups), roughtly chopped
2 teaspoons dried oregano
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 (15 ounce) diced tomatoes
4 cups (32 oz) low-sodium beef broth

Steps:

  • Heat 1 teaspoon oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook, breaking up the meat, until browned, about 4-5 minutes. Drain the excess fat. Remove from the pot.
  • Add oil to the same pot and cook onion for 3-5 minutes, until translucent. Add the garlic and cook for 30 seconds or so. Add carrots, potatoes, cabbage, oregano, pepper, and cook, stirring frequently, for 5-7 minutes.
  • Add the beef back in along with broth and tomatoes. Bring the pot to a boil. Cover, reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 25-30 minutes, until cabbage and potatoes are softened.

1 medium head of cabbage (chopped, about 4-5 cups)
1 red bell pepper (diced)
1 yellow onion (diced)
1 16oz can dark kidney beans
2 stalks of celery (sliced)
1 28oz can crushed tomatoes (for the most flavor, I use canned whole tomatoes and rough chop while saving the juice.)
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp beef base (I use better than bouillon)
1 cup beef broth
1/4 tsp garlic powder
Salt and Pepper to Taste
Oyster Crackers

Steps:

  • In a large pot over medium heat, brown the ground beef and drain.
  • Add all the remaining ingredients to the beef. For the tomatoes and beans, add in everything including the juice. Bring to a boil and simmer for about an 30 minutes or until the onion and celery are tender.
  • Serve hot with oyster crackers on the side.
