Best Ever Chocolate Brownies with Sour Cream Frosting image

I like this recipe very much, its really moist and delicious and I think you will love it too especially for chocolate fans. I had this recipe from one of my cooking book but I think I will be regret if I just keep it to my self. So, don't wait.

Number Of Ingredients 9

125 g butter
185 g dark chocolate, chopped
1 cup caster sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla essence
2 eggs, lightly beaten
1 cup plain flour
1/2 cup chopped pecan nuts
100 g dark chocolate, chopped
1/4 cup sour cream

Steps:

  • Grease 19cm square cake pan, line base with paper, grease paper.
  • Melt butter and chocolate in a bowl over hot water.
  • Transfer mixture to large bowl, stir in sugar and essence then eggs, sifted flour and pecans.
  • pour mixture into prepared pan and bake in preheated moderate oven for 30 minutes.
  • Cool in pan.
  • Turn brownies out and top with frosting.
  • Refrigerate for a few hours before cutting.
  • Sour cream frosting.
  • Melt chocolate in bowl over hot water, stir in sour cream, stir constantly until mixture is smooth and glossy.

4 tablespoons butter
½ cup sour cream
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
¼ teaspoon salt
2 ¾ cups confectioners' sugar

Steps:

  • Melt chocolate and the butter together. Let cool and blend in the sour cream, vanilla, and salt. Gradually add the confectioner's sugar until the frosting is of spreading consistency, beat well.

1 cup light sour cream
1 cup milk chocolate chips
1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
1 cup milk chocolate frosting

Steps:

  • Prepare brownie mix according to package directions.
  • Fold in sour cream , chocolate chips and walnuts into batter.
  • Pour into a greased 9x13 pan.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.
  • Cool completely on a wire rack.

1/3 cup butter, melted
1/2 cup sour cream (not reduced fat)
2 large eggs
2 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/4 cup sour cream
1 1/4 cups sifted powdered sugar

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°; position oven rack in the lower third of the oven; spray the bottom only of an 8-inch square baking pan with cooking spray.
  • In a bowl, mix the brownie mix, melted butter, sour cream, and eggs with a wooden spoon until just blended and add dry ingredients are moistened.
  • Spread batter in prepared pan; bake 40-44 minutes or until pick comes out clean or almost clean (do not overbake).
  • Transfer to a wire rack and cool completely.
  • Make frosting: in a medium saucepan set over low heat, combine the butter and chocolate chips; cook and stir until melted and smooth.
  • Remove from heat and cool 5 minutes; whisk in sour cream.
