I didn't like the traditional souperburger but my good friend Jennie made these for a get together and I had to get this recipe. Yum Yum!

Steps:
- Brown meat, onion, and oregano in skillet.
- Add soup, catsup, and water.
- Simmer 5 to 10 minutes.
- Butter and toast buns.
- Stir meat mixture and spread on buns.
- Place 2 strips of cheese over each.
- Broil until cheese melts.

- Cook beef and onion in skillet until browned, then pour off fat.
- Add soup, mustard and pepper.
- Heat through.
- Serve on rolls.
LIGHTER-STYLE SOUPERBURGERS
Steps:
- Cook the beef and onion in a 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat until the beef is well browned, stirring often to separate meat. Pour off any fat.
- Stir the soup, water, ketchup and black pepper in the skillet and cook until the mixture is hot and bubbling. Divide the beef mixture among the rolls.
SOUPERBURGER ITALIANO
This recipe has been in my father's family for quite a long time. He inherited this recipe from his mother and now it's down to me! It happens to be one of my favorites as well. - 1. In a large skillet, brown one pound of lean ground beef along with approximately 1/3 cup chopped onion.
- 2. drain off grease and add one can Campbell's Minestrone soup, 1/3 cup ketchup, and 1/3 cup water. Cover and simmer for 20 to 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- 3. Fill buttered and toasted hot dog buns with the mixture and top with a liberal amount of cheddar cheese. Place under broiler until cheese melts.

This was my favorite as a kid growing up. My mom gave me the recipe recently and I wanted to post it so it's not lost again!
